The coach house did not disappoint. It is small but very well equipped and exceedingly comfortable. The owners genuinely want you to enjoy your stay and were extremely helpful, not to mention likeable, but not intrusive despite the fact you are staying by their home. Tthe location is in a pretty village and getting around the area and further afield is easy. There are endless things to do whether you want good food, bird watching, animal watching, national trust and Welsh/English heritage, gardens or just wandering around looking at the beautiful scenery. You can be active or a couch potato and still enjoy yourself!. I believe wifi is abit dodgy in the area but we had no problem outside the owners' house. There is a shady woodland garden and verandah to enjoy nature, and a small table and chairs in front of the main house which gets sun.

Reviewed 15 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Just back from this fantastic little cosy guest house in the lovely village of Goodrich. Well equipped and comfortable guest house , with lovely hosts. The bed is soooo big and soft and night so quiet that a good night sleep is assured. Great location with lots to see and do and so many good eating places around.. strongly recommend for fab break.

“We love the Granton Coach House - have been coming for 6 years !”
Reviewed 25 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

The Coach House is very comfortable and very well equipped. It is set in a lovely village with a shop and friendly pub. There are numerous places to visit and walks from the doorstep.
The river wye is just down the road and Symonds Yat not too far away - if you are lucky you may see peregrine falcons nesting there. The owners Liz and John have provided a really great cottage.

Excellently done conversion with a fascinating history...if floors could talk! Huge, comfortable bed, superbly lit throughout, comfy sofa. Ideal location for the Forest of Dean and within walking distance of a really good pub.

“Excellent rental”

Granton Coach House provides clean, well equipped and comfortable accommodation in a good setting. The lounge, kitchen/diner is spacious with old beams but also has a high ceiling so does not feel claustrophobic. It has central heating and a wood burner for out of season comfort. The bedroom contains a large bed which you could get lost in. An en suite shower room with limitless hot water completes the accommodation. There is a verandah which is ideal for sitting and listening to the birds and watching those that come down to feed in the shady patio area which is also an ideal location for barbecuing.
Goodrich as a village has two pubs, a village shop/post office, a church and a castle - what more could you want! The whole Wye Valley and Forest of Dean area is good for walking with some walks passing the Coach House. This is a really good sightseeing area without having to travel too far to get anywhere.
The owners are attentive without being too intrusive and the fresh eggs and produce provided were well received
This is an ideal holiday location.
