We throughly enjoyed our 5 nights at Granton Coach house, a quiet, detached, comfortable and very well appointed holiday home for two. Thank you Liz & John for your warm welcome and for allowing us to enjoy the lovely surroundings of your home; sorry to just miss the Magnolia in full bloom. The Forest was close at hand for walks; we even saw wild boar and their litter of piglets. If the oportunity arises we'll visit again.
We have just had a fantastic week at this fantastic accomodation. On entering the property it was very warm and inviting. It was very clean and had everything we needed and was very much home from home. The wood burner is lovely.
It is in a quiet location and on the doorstep for Forest of Dean and Wales. The Dean Steam Railway is a must if you like trains.
We will definitely visit this property again. I have recommended to friends.
There is always an element of ‘chance’ taking a self catering break in February in the UK. If you are fortunate enough to find somewhere like the Coach house, your luck is definitely in! This place has bags of history and has been beautifully and sympathetically converted into a wonderful hideaway to escape to. Immaculately presented with everything you need as a comfortable and unique base for the stunning local area. A log fire for the colder evenings, fully kitted kitchen (including dishwasher), with a selection of local goodies available (including preserves and juice) and a comfortable bedroom. 2 excellent pubs in walking distance! What’s not to like! A very relaxing long weekend and would have been happy to stay much longer.
Stayed over xmas and found the accommodation excellent. A lovely, comfortable conversion that works on all levels. The weather was freezing on arrival but the accommodation is warm and dry and we were able to relax and warm up. Wonderful hosts who had dressed the unit for Chrismas complete with, trees, crackers and chocolate! Very thoughtful. Thank you for making our first stay so nice. Pete & Jo
We just enjoyed a week's stay at The Coach House. It is a quiet location with well equipped accommodation. Walks available from the door and 2 x pub restaurants within the village. The owners live on site and their experience shows with the information they provide together with the warm, clean and comfortable property. We enjoyed days out in the Forest of Dean, Monmouth, Hereford and Abergavenny. We would recommend this property as a perfect place for a relaxing holiday.
Having stayed here in April this year we couldn’t wait to return superb accommodation many thanks John and liz we have truly found a hidden Gem
Really well appointed accommodation. Living/dining area spacious and relaxing, with useful utility room and balcony as well as outdoor seating area.
Bed very comfortable with cosy bathroom off bedroom.
Excellent walking opportunities from the door and efficient (though not frequent!) bus service to Monmouth and Ross so that you can have a look round the towns and then walk back along the river. Goodrich Castle is well worth a visit and is a good breakfast destination.
Lots of useful information in the coach house.
Only had a short break and would love to return for a week sometime.
