“Surprisingly disappointing”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

Maybe it was the time of the year but there was very little to be seen and we thought it very poor value compared with our local Sussex Wildlife venue at Rye Harbour, East Sussex. Rye Harbour also has the advantage of free entry and free parking and we were surprised to be charged rather than being given reciprocal status.

“A really great day”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

Went with a friend and spent the whole day there - great value for £5. The site is huge and admission covers both Lyndon and Egleton sites (about 5 mins drive between the two). This is the place to go if you have any interest at all in birds.

“Ospreys!”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

Now i'm slightly biased here as I've loved opsreys since I was a child and this is the first time I have actually seen them, but we did see them in the fleash/feather! The video screen in the main building is great and the knowledge of the volunteers is astounding and fascinating.
The walk to the hides is also very enjoyable and then to see the osprey was just fantastic. Unfortunately, we were there just as the useless male had been scared off and the new male kept pestering the female so she was off the egs for too long. As sad as this was, it could not distract from a wonderful experience and a great facility that they have in place.

“Good Birds!”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

The visitor center has well-informed bird watchers and bird feeders, and the lake has lots of good birds. I particularly liked the Great Crested Grebes.
