“Brilliant B&B”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

We stayed here at weekend for my birthday. When we arrived and were shown to our room there was a gift wrapped box of chocolates and birthday card from the owners on the bed. We both thought that this was a really nice touch.

We unpacked and were then provided with tea, coffee and biscuits sat outside the front in the sunshine.

Jason and Melanie were the perfect hosts, our room was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was superb with lots of choices available.

In fact we enjoyed our stay so much we have booked for next year.

Thanks very much for the great review. It was a pleasure for us to be able to look after you on your birthday weekend and we are so glad that you both enjoyed your time with us. We are looking forward to seeing you again next year when you hopefully have the Proms to see and of course lots more great St Annes restaurants to try out! Take care and see you next year.

I have been staying at The Fairmile since October as I am working away from home, and it is the best B&B I have stayed in in the area (I have stayed in 4). It's a real "home from home" for me, and I couldn't have worked away from home for so long without somewhere as good as this to stay in.

Jason and Melanie provide outstanding service and quality at a reasonable price.

Great breakfasts, which includes a range of cereals, fruits, juices & yoghurts along with a variety of continental or cooked breakfasts. The cooked breakfasts are fantastic.

There are a variety of rooms, some larger than others, some with different facilities (twin/double/single beds), some with desks etc. So if you have a specific requirement just ask and Jason will be more than willing to try and accommodate your needs. I once had a room with a small TV (which I was looking forward to watching the World Cup on that evening), and before I got home from work Jason had replaced it with a larger one - you can't beat service like that.

Other benefits include:
- Wi-Fi
- Lounge with honesty bar (drinks/snacks etc.), sofa, large TV, games etc.
- Desks in some rooms (great if you use a laptop like me)
- Free tea & coffee (& biscuits!), shower gel & shampoo (great for me as a business traveller)
- Garden table & chairs

The Fairmile is clean, comfortable, homely and great value - and somewhere I could easily bring my wife & 2 kids for a lovely weekend away.

I have tried other B&Bs in the area and The Fairmile is the best I have found.

We have used this hotel on several occassions and it just gets better and better. The owners Mel onie and Jason are totally committed to making your stay the best possible. Nothing you ask about is any bother to them,if they do not know the will find out for you. Rooms are immaculate and very well presented, breakfast freshly made to order and an honesty bar.Where else can you find a well stocked bar that relies on your honesty to pay ??? Ask for room 4 and you will not regret it. The best, you bet it is.

Room Tip: Room 4 is worth the extra

Thanks very much for the great review guys; it really is much appreciated. It was great to see you both again the other week and it sounded like you had a great time at the Roy Orbison show. Thanks also for taking Freddy the Fairmile Facebook Bear with you and for the lovely photos of your time here. We hope that you both stay well over the summer and we look forward to welcoming you back sometime soon.

We have stayed at the Fairmile on two occasions. The first time 3 years ago. We booked 4 rooms for a Birthday Gathering. We were welcomed by Jason & Melanie with a cup of tea and biscuits. We all enjoyed the comfortable rooms, and the wonderful breakfast choices. They made our stay a very memorable one.
Our second visit was this year in June for short visit. This time just the two of us. Again the same
wonderful welcome. So even with a short stay you are welcomed with the same friendly service.
Thank you Jason & Melanie.

Stayed just the night as we came for the 'proms' and what a pleasure it was to be greeted by someone who quite clearly takes a great deal of pride in his business. The owner, Jason greeted us upon arrival and armed us with a mind of information including train & bus timetables and a number for a taxi should we have needed. The room was basic but spotlessly clean, however it was a little too warm but had a big window we could throw open. Fantastic breakfast, perfectly cooked, fresh orange juice, toast, cereal, coffee the works, perfect. The train station was just next door and the bus services was excellent. Would we recommend? Yes most definitely. Will we return? Yes depending who are at the proms next year.

Thanks very much for writing us a review and for your kind comments. We are pleased that you enjoyed the Proms and your stay with us. The weather was not as good as we would have liked but it kept fine for the Proms which was the main thing. Well done for managing to walk to Lytham - we were impressed!!

I found this little hotel whilst working in the area last year. I've stayed here several times.
I can highly recommend this place. The owners Jason and Melanie take great pride in welcoming people and rarely have I stayed in such immaculate rooms. They are so friendly that nothing is too much bother for them.
The rooms have recently been refurbished. They are very comfortable and nicely set out.
All I can say is thanks Jason and Melanie for making my stays nice ones.

I have stayed at The Fairmile on 3 occasions in the past few years, and would highly recommend it.
Comfortable rooms, fantastic breakfast cooked to your own specification, friendly owners, good location, "honesty bar" and competitive rates - what else do you need?.
So much more to offer than the rather souless large hotels just around the corner, and the Fairmile shows what owners of small hotels can achieve with a caring attitude and a bit of effort.

Will return again as soon as the chance arises.
