My Husband and I stayed for for a couple of nights 19th.& 20th.June and we would definitely stay again. The Hotel is undergoing a refurbishment so there are still some very old fashioned areas, like the bar. Our room was great, clean spacious and very comfortable. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were fabulous and you were given fresh towels. The staff were very friendly and always acknowledged you. Full English breakfast was excellent but we didn't have dinner as we felt the menus were a lttle dated for our taste. A great base to explore the area from.

Thanks for such a positive review, we obviously ticked so many of the boxes that make a great couple of days break for you.
Being so popular has made it very difficult to do any major refurbishments, but i'm happy to say it's well under way with as little disruption to service or facilities as humanly possible.
You mentioned the bar, well plans are afoot for that to be completed soon too.
looking forward to welcoming you again soon

My husband and I have just returned home after an enjoyable 12 night stay at this friendly hotel.
This hotel is in need of refurbishment which has been started but the very friendly and helpful staff make up for what it lacks in modern style. It is also very clean and the chef cooks interesting and varied meals. There is a lovely swimming pool and gym on the premises also a childrens play area and outside seating and tables.
There is plenty to do in the area, we visited Fleetwood, where there is free parking, also Stanley Park Blackpool is a hidden gem.
Please ignor the last reviews, The Chadwick gives value for money in a pleasant enviroment and lots of the guests have been coming back for many years.

Arrived to what looked like a bomb-site, construction was taking place which I wasn't too bothered about but a heads up would've been appreciated! The manager 'Miguel' was rude, didn't even greet us with a 'hello' left us stood at reception for almost 10 minutes while he chatted on the phone. He finally ordered a staff member to show us to our room.
The room was basic, grubby & smelly - the pillow cases smelt like greasy hair and the bedding smelt like sweaty bodies, it was clear the bedding hadn't been washed.
The travel cot they provided was filthy & so worn it was covered in holes, was in disbelief that anybody would allow their infant to sleep in there! We decided to leave immediately & politely explained to staff why, they were apologetic apart from Miguel who totally ignored us and carried on with his telephone conversation.
I dread to think what the food standards would've been like at this hotel & after reading other guest reviews I'm relieved we didn't stick around to find out!

we booked a one night b&b deal through groupon and the room we were given reflected the price we had paid-basic,very warm and stuffy even with the small windows wide open, and a great view over the myriad of vent pipes on the adjoining flat roof.staff seemed to be not overly friendly and the bar seemed to be devoid of any life.we were going to eat in the restaurant but were told that the only option was a table dote menu at a crazy price of £23.50 per person-not sure what the quality was like but it should be marco pierre white cooking at that price.the only other option was a bar menu but with a very limited choice,so we ate out.
on the plus side the hotel is in a great position on the promenade(although a fair walk into town),with a lovely sea view lounge with comfy seating.there is a leisure club with nice pool but looks like it is little used, probably due to the fact that the average age of the guests is between 75 and deceased.
breakfast was served in the nice restaurant and was of good quality and generous portions.
overall it was very good value for money but would not have been pleased had we paid the brochure price.

Thank you for listing the positive sides of the hotel, we believe the five course Table d'hote dinner menu in The Four seasons Restaurant is value for money as others who have experienced it have reviewed, however there is the lighter lounge and bar menu with an additional specials board, all individually priced to suit budget, tastes and appetite if not suitable for you, available most of the day.
thanks for reviewing us.

We booked though groupon and got a nice deal, on arrival the problem was the parking only two disabled parking spaces but there is on street parking which i had to use, there is a ramp, now, the difficulty starts when you try to get in the lift with your walker or wheelchair, it cant be done, there is only enough room for one or two people and if you are over a size 14 then go sideways its very narrow and very old, so had to leave my walker downstairs and manage in the room without it, however the receptionist did say they could bring it up and down for me which i found to be too much trouble for them, but they were happy to do it. the breakfast lovely and everything well cooked in a nice dining room. The twin room was small and had a portion of it taken up with the bathroom which was new the room had all new furniture and was fresh decorated. the beds were very comfortable, we had a side view of the sea, lots of scaffolding and building work decorating work going on while we were there. The staff were helpful, there was a bar and area for sitting which we didnt use, the didnt get to use the pool either. It was great for the money we paid

Room Tip: I would check if you have a disability and need to use your equipment in the room as you cant get it...

Thank you for the review. We normally pride ourselves on attention to details in allocating the most suitable rooms for our guests and particularly less mobile guests and certainly wouldn't allocate upstairs rooms for wheelchair users. We are pleased to have ground floor rooms and a mobility adapted room, for easy access available, but you can imagine are in great demand.
Lytham St Annes is a great area with so many activities and disabled friendly.
The scaffold is unfortunate but necessary for access at the time for essential roof work to take place shortly hope it didn't spoil the view to beach.
Thank you for the comments

My wife & I went back to the Chadwick for the first Bank holiday weekend. As we have found with our previous visits, the staff are extremely friendly & helpful, from the front desk to the restaurant. The food was brilliant as usual, with plenty of choice. Nothing is too much trouble. If want any extra items all you have to do is ask. The rooms are more than comfortable, & always clean & tidy. The hotel is very convenient for visiting the local area. We managed a show in Blackpool & we also visited Royal Lytham golf club as there was the Lytham Trophy competition on for 3 days. There was some extremely good golf played & the weather very calm & pleasant for walking around the course, & it's only 5 mins drive from the hotel.
We are going to book for the next May day weekend at the end of this month, & hope we have the heatwave we keep getting promised.
I have noticed other reviews have mentioned about the décor being a little dated. I have heard it mentioned that there is going to be a refurbishment during this month, so that should improve things even more. Well worth a visit if you want a pleasant few days.
