“Excellent Food, Excellent Atmosphere, Excellent Value for Money”

Have stayed at the Lindum for a number of years now attending an ex-service reunion. Have never had occasion to complain. I always found the staff to be extremely helpful, the food second to none, and the accommodation well up to the standard you would expect from a hotel with this rating. Give iot a try...you wont be disappointed.

We are an ex service group of around 35 people who hold a reunion at the Lindum Hotel every year. To date we have never, ever had a complaint from any of our members .The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and go the extra mile to make our stay memorable. The food is imaginative, delicious and the Chef uses locally produced meat, vegetables and cheeses. I doubt anyone could find better, at any price ,anywhere in Britain let alone the Fylde Coast ( I know because I have tried)
We have severel members who are quite elderly or disabled and providing the hotel is informed about special requirement, they always provide suitable accommodation. - but they are not mind readers. The Hotel is an old building and short of demolishing it and building anew, they have to work with what they have got and yes one floor is not serviced by the lift, but you can only put a lift where a lift can go, I am past my mid 60s in age but I can still manage to get my suitcase and other bags and baggage up to my room unaided - even if I am on the 4th floor. God help the 40 odd year old Amercians if they can't manage it in their comparative youth - perhaps they need more exercise! In any case staff are always available to help with luggage if required.
This hotel offers terrific value- for -money accommodation and food and regularly offers special rates and deals. You only have to ask.
Would I recommend it to friends - absolutely and especially the Sunday Lunch which is just fabulous. Not sure if the Amercians would enjoy it though - the Lindum doesn't do Burgers.

We are a mid 40s couple, and stayed in a sea view double room which consisted of a private shower room, lounge area and bedroom area. Very spacious and very clean. Our room was on the 4th floor - the lift goes as far as the third floor, then about 12 or so steps take you up to the fourth floor. The only down point was we could hear the lift 'mechanism' from 7:00am onwards when people started going down for papers, breakfast etc. Not loud enough to keep you awake though!

We booked breakfast, which consisted of fruit juice, cereal, full english and toast etc - all freshly made. Not the best breakfast I have ever had, but certainly edible.

The hotel is directly across from a Brewers Fayre restaurant where we chose to have an evening meal. Hotel parking is limited, and the car park was full when we arrived, but we parked on the main promenade directly opposite the hotel.

All the staff were pleasant - reception offered to have our cases taken to our room, prompt and efficient waitress at breakfast etc. Option to request a morning newspaper, laundry service, etc. A commendable 2 star hotel. No complaints at all!

  • Liked — sauna and jacuzzi - not expected but pleasant surprise
  • Disliked — room located near lift shaft

We should have been warned by the lack of current reviews for this property, but we went by its rating of No. 1 out of 13 for the area. We can't speak to the double or single rooms, but upon checking in to this (and I use the term loosely) hotel's family suite, we promptly checked out and stayed at the Dolmeny Hotel a few doors down.
The Lindum advertises a car park, yet it has only about six spaces and if you arrive in the late afternoon, you wind up having to park on the narrow ocean drive blocks away from the front door. It also advertises a lift (or elevator for our US friends), yet if you stay in the family suite, the lift is useless. You must schlepp your luggage (times 4) up and down several narrow stairways before decending into the dungeon that tries to pass for the Lindum's family suite!
And that's when it really deteriorates. The rooms' windows (bath and living room) open to the trash bins below street level. The carpet is lumpy, coming up in places, rolled in others. It also appears as though it hasn't been shampooed in a decade. The bath had unwrapped soaps scattered about collecting dust and spiders walking aross the tub.
We told the place to keep the $30 deposit and fled. The front desk made no attempt to find us a better room, so obviously they are accustomed to this kind of reaction. And lest you think these are cheap digs, had we stayed, it would have cost us about $175 US dollars for the night.
Stay at the Dolmeny instead. Nice rooms, pleasant front desk folk (who didn't seem surprised to be taking an inquiry from another Lindum refugee) and the best full English breakfast on the Irish Sea Coast.
