Debbie and Mark were wonderful hosts, the breakfasts are huge and well cooked. The house is well located for shops, bars, restaurants etc. We stayed in the room at the back which I would say was usually the twin room but the beds had been pushed together which we found a little uncomfortable and awkward. As a result I had no where to put a glass of water or anything beside me as the bed was very close to the wall so I had to climb over my partner basically to get out. The room is small, there was nowhere for my partner to do her makeup or hair as the TV was placed on the built in dressing table taking up all the room and hiding the mirror. I am sorry but this room is very small, the bathroom is also small and again no where to put things I ended up putting my wash bag on the toilet seat. However the room was clean and so was the bathroom the food was great and so were Debbie and Mark.

Room Tip: Check which room your going into, look at the photos , I would think most rooms are quiet it does no...

Thank you for your comments on our B&B, we are glad you enjoyed Lytham and the food, Debi does cook an amazing breakfast!! Can I please however say, we are a B&B and as stated on tripadvisor a Boutique B&B which simply means COSY!!! Which we most definitely are!! It is a twin room that you stayed in, but can I say the beds were not just put together!! We use this room many times as a double room we fix the beds together, as they do in a lot of 3,4,5 star hotels, this provides our guests with a massive king size bed!!! Sorry if you found this awkward. Our bathroom in this room is not small!!! It has a bath and shower And has a set of 7 draws to put all your belongings in. The room has 4 mirrors in it including the one in the bath room!! But I do admit that the 32" plasma TV is actually sat on the in-built wardrobes at present which will be wall mounted in the very near future!!! Please remember this is our home,a beautiful home, that we share we many lovely people throughout the year! But we are NOT a hotel. We hope you will come back and stay with us when ever you are back in Lytham. Kindest regards Mark.

JayMar is simply all that you would wish to find in a Guest House and somewhere that we would not hestitate in returning to. Debbi and Mark were excellent hosts an made us wecolme throughout our stay which was ,of course, too short. We were given all recommendations of places to eat and these were absolutely spot on and all other information that we required for our stay.
Jay Mar is spot-less and everything was there for our needs and the breakfast second to none...absolutely excellent. We had car parking provided by permit and everywhere in Lytham was on hand for fresh air and walking which we thoroughly enjoyed. We used JayMar as our base for a visit to the Blackpool Opera House to see the quality of Jane MacDonald and "quality" is the apt summing up of JayMar. Many thanks Debbi and Mark and hope to see you again soon.

We had a most enjoyable weekend staying with Debi and Mark, excellent hosts. Both rooms were comfortable and cosy. If you want the full English breakfast make sure you are hungry it is huge, everything is cooked to order and is superb. The guest house is in the ideal position for visiting 'Leafy Lytham' and the many restaurants and bars. The on street parking is good as at weekend the area is very busy. They will loan you a permit for leaving the car there on the street. The only reservation is the tiny, tiny basin in the en suite, not ideal for a wet shaver! All in all a great place to stay.

Look forward to meeting you all again soon! wheather it be Lytham or Jersey!!? Debi.

("Caetano" is my Tripadvisor account) ... I stayed at JayMar with my aunt and uncle for two nights for my daughter’s wedding in Lytham on 7 Sept ’13. What a great choice of a paradise guest house as follows: Perfect location; lovely Victorian terrace building; warm, friendly, welcoming & professional hosts; immaculately clean; top quality & stylish décor, top quality furnishings & fittings; Wi- Wi-Fi & large flat screen TV; lovely shower room with nice toiletries & towels; quiet night’s sleep in firm and comfortable bed with quality mattress & bedding; clever open wardrobe rail & storage, lots of nice stuff on the tea/coffee tray, free parking permit; incredibly tasty breakfast to die for made from the best local produce. Look no further folks; this is the best B&B in the area & very good value for money! Thanks for everything, Derek

Just back from a weekend at Jaymar, our first visit, but not our last. Debbie and Mark are brilliant hosts and the breakfast is to die for, the choice is excellent, from cereal, and every fruit under the sun to an excellent full cooked English. We had the room at the back which was small but adequate, yes small shower room as previous comments, but it was fine. Only thing about the room I would suggest get rid of the armchair and put the TV in its place strange having TV at side of the bed, not that we watched it much. Hotel is situated right in centre only 5 mins walking to the many bars and restaurants. Debbie and Mark recommended an excellent restaurant which we tried on the Saturday night and got a discount because we were staying at the Jaymar. Will definitely revisit and recommend to friends, excellent.

My wife and I stayed three nights in this guest house. Debbie and Mark were very friendly and helpful owners. Our stay was during one of the hottest weeks of the year. Our room was at the rear of the building and did not get the midday sun which resulted in a comfortable temperature. Our room was nicely furnished and very clean. The downside was it was small and the en suite very small. The wash hand basin was minuscule! Smaller that the ones on commercial airliners! In defence of the owners, they were working with a Victorian house and under these conditions they made a great job.

Breakfast was served to all guests at one large table. There was very comprehensive range of cereals and fruit. The cooked breakfast was excellent.

The guest house is situated in a quiet street just a few hundred metres from the centre of Lytham. It is very convenient to the many local cafes, restaurants, bus stops and the railway station. We would highly recommend this establishment.

My friend and I are from Yorkshire and we stayed at the JayMar whilst attending the Lytham Proms. It is situated on a quiet street within walking distance from Lytham Train Station, the beach, restaurants, shops and Lytham Proms which was very convenient.
We were made to feel very welcomed from Debbie and Mark from the minute we arrived to sadly having to depart. The accommodation was excellent; the décor was splendid, the en-suite room was very comfortable (especially the bed) with everything that you could possibly need, from hairdryer to toiletries. The breakfast was outstanding WOW! What a selection, continental, full English plus fruit, toast and croissants all served in a wonderful dining room with a marvellously set out table. Debbie was very accommodating even making us coffee afterwards so that we could sit outside whilst my friend had a cigarette. This is one of a few guest houses that offer a free wifi internet connection which was very useful – thank you.
Overall, one of the best places that I have stayed at therefore, I would definitely return to this lovely guest house and certainly I will be recommending it to all my family and friends. Exceptional value for the money paid.
