“Loved it, beautiful place, full of charm, a little gem!”

St Anne's Pier is just amazing, Yes its dated but it adds to the charm, a reminder of a bygone era. The pier is currently undergoing some redevelopment so some areas are looking a bit tired. The arcade was second to none, given that we left blackpool to come here, that says a lot! There were some cars, bit like dodgems for smaller kids £1 a go and my daughter loved it!

At the end of the arcade is a little cafe which looked amazing, lots of cakes on show. The right at the end of the pier is crazy golf. It looked handmade which made it fit into the setting of the pier just nicely.

There is a chippy at the front of the pier, chips were £1.60 for a large portion, and they were nice. Then theres a gift shop selling beach stuff, kites, loom bands etc. Reasonably priced too. Then there is the ice cream parlour, again reasonably priced.

To the right of the pier is miles and miles of flat golden sand and sand dunes. To the left is a hut to hire beach chairs, windbreaks and deck chairs. And further onto the beach there is a bouncy slide and an inflatable play area, then a bit further afield there are donkeys. All well kept and looking happy.

Back on the promenade there is a free outdoor pool, the water was freezing but my daughter loved it.

There are toilets nearby, some on the promenade by the pool, 20p fee, and also some on the pier, again 20p fee. There is a disable loo in the pier arcade. Car parking is £5.50 all day in the pier carpark.

Lovely place...we will be back!

“Great little pier”

Great traditional pier full of retro arcade machines.
I even won a dinosaur on one of the crane machines!
Fairly priced.

“lovely cafe at end of pier”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2014

i spent a few hours here with my daughter on fri 8th august, firstly I must say if you visit you must go in to the little café at the end of the pier they do lovely cakes and coffee, there was 2 members of staff working(I do not remember there names) but both were lovely very polite, the male staff member was very helpful in telling me about the area, no complaints there, the pier could do with a lick of paint tho.
what I didn't like was when my daughter was playing on a 10p machine near the cash booth 2 male staff members(one had very white hair and the other one was bald with goofy teeth) where making rude comments about the girl in the booth (she did have a bit to much cleavage out tho) both where laughing and jokeing about putting money in her cleavage sorry but not appropriate where theres children in ears shot

“Tired and Dated”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2014

The heading says it all really. An amusement arcade. Minature Golf. A place to eat and that's it really for the actual pier. Most of the stuff in the arcade is very old and could do with updating, the Minature golf looked like something someone's Grandad had put together. Didn't try the food on the pier but did notice it had a hygiene rating of 5.
On the plus side the views from the pier are fantastic. Well worth a trip but don't expect too much
