“a little gem”
Reviewed 1 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We really enjoyed our week in Lytham. Lots of lovely walking and a bustling town with plenty of bars and restaurants. The cottage is in a quiet little street and we had everything we needed and more, it was very comfortable, thank you Sue we had a lovely week.

“Great laid back place to stay”
Reviewed 5 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Stayed in this cottage for 6 nights with husband, daughter, niece and dog in April 2014. We first visited this cottage in March 2013 and liked it so much, decided to return again this year. It is set in a very quiet location but only a couple of minutes walk to the town centre and all the selection of shops, take-aways and eateries it has to offer.

There were 2 pubs that we visited that allowed dogs, the Queens Hotel and the Station Tavern Pub. Both of these offered great food and good service. We also visited the Vinery cafe a couple of times during our stay for breakfast, as this cafe also allowed dogs.

We find Lytham a dog friendly place and is ideal for getting out and about with the children and dog. There is the promenade to walk along for miles as well as a couple of parks and woodland areas to explore and is so near to Blackpool and Lytham St Annes.

We returned to the cottage each night after hours being out and about and spent each night relaxing in a place that felt like home from home. The owner lives next door but leaves you alone and is always on hand to help you out.

Brilliant break away again and will definitely be returning again next year.

“A perfect week!”

Just completing a marvellous week at Garlicks Cottage - so sorry we have to leave! The cottage is very comfortable, and is extremely well equipped. Ideal location - seafront, shops, supermarket, restaurants and pubs all in easy reach - great for us as we had no car. Too bad we live so far away in Canada or we'd be back again very soon!
