Nice place to stay and was good there was parking on road if no space in the car park. Room was very hot because of the sunny weather, yet was great that there was a fan provided in the room. The bed was comfy and the room was good value for the price paid. We got back in the evening to be greeted by the resident cat Socks and he was there in the morning too...he is gorgeous. The best part of the stay was the service at breakfast and the breakfast itself...everything on the late was fresh and piping hot (even the beans!). We are pleased with stay and would go again if we were planning another short break.

We stay regularly at this hotel. The staff are friendly and the breakfasts are great. Always good heating in winter. Comfy beds. Only a short distance from the centre and frequent bus services to Blackpool.

Room Tip: Good value for money. Small and friendly

We have stayed here a few times over the last few years, we usually use a family room, although now our daughters are older we will probably ask for two twin rooms next time! The last time we stayed there the owner offered us the use of twin rooms but the girls like staying in the family room!! In the past we have always had the same room, but last time we had the room next door!
The rooms are clean and tidy. The breakfast has a variety of choices and is cooked to order. The staff are always lovely and friendly and very courteous! The Elsinghurst is a good location, we don't mind walking so everything is within easy reach for us, or we can drive further afield if we wish! there is parking on the forecourt or on the road outside. We have been to other hotels in this price range and area and always look to return here! We all love cats too so we were delighted to see our furry friend Socks again!!

I have just returned from a very pleasant three night stay at the Elsinghurst Hotel. There is some parking on the forecourt, but also plenty on the road outside the hotel. We were welcomed by the owner's son who gave us our keys (a twin room for me and my wife and an adjacent single for my elderly mum). He offered to help with the luggage. Although you wouldn't describe this as a luxury hotel, both en-suite rooms were comfortable and met our needs. The public rooms (lounges, bar, etc) are also very comfortable. We met Colin (the owner) at breakfast the next morning. There was fruit juice, cereals, and a choice of full English or a vegetarian option together with pots of tea and/or coffee, all provided to a high standard.

The location is enjoyably quiet but only a couple of minutes from the beach, pier and pitch & putt course. It's about 20 minutes walk to the centre of St Annes.

Due to the time of year, Colin wasn't providing evening meals so we ate out. We found the Chadwick a few minutes away that had a restaurant and also a good selection of bar meals. There was also free entertainment on the Friday and Saturday nights which we enjoyed. A few minutes walk away is the Toby Inn.

To finish, I have to tell you that Colin is one of the most courteous and generous hosts I have met in any hotel both in Britain and abroad. Even his cat "Socks", made us welcome.

Room Tip: We had room 9 which was at the front and had a sea view.

Off road parking appreciated. Clean and warm room. I chose a smaller cooked breakfast, which was still plenty and delicious. Close to the front. Staff friendly
Loved the cat! Residents' kitchen a great idea. Would stay at the same place again.

Room Tip: Room 10 gives a bit of a sea view.

Wanted a hotel convenient to the estuary for walking and birdwatching. It really was convenient you could see the geese from the bedroom window. Spring and autumn is the best time for birds here, as some are always coming or going. At one time there was hundreds and hundreds of geese overhead a truely lovely sight. The hotel was clean and comfy, yes it was a bit dated but how many hotels give you 2 comfy chairs in your bedroom! Most only give one and the unlucky one gets to sit on the bed to watch TV. What is a lovely extra here is the use of a kitchen, with fridge, microwave etc so that you can have toast, soup or whatever (great if you've been for a walk). Blackpool is just a short run up the coast but I would sooner stay in Lytham St Anne's. Its much quieter and a lot better for sleeping. Elsinghurst Hotel is just tucked away nicely on a side road, still get a sea view - BUT NO TRAFFIC NOISE. Breakfast was fine, waitress efficient and food cooked to order (and the cereals were all branded and not the cheap kind). Would we come here again, yes, as the hotel has everything we need.
