Me and my partner and our shih poo stayed Saturday night. We booked last minute and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is two minutes from the lovely beach. We felt very welcomed. A lady called Glynnis was very helpful she couldn't do enough for us. Everyone loved our dog and was very friendly towards her. All the staff were nice the rooms were clean. We only had breakfast there which was nice. There's a lovely pool jaccuzi and steam room that we used. We would definatly reccomend for anyone with dogs and we Will re visit one day. Lovely place.

The hotel has friendly staff and great to find a hotel where dogs are allowed. The hotel however is very dated, that said we were told the rooms are gradually being refurbished but ours wasn't. The bonus of a swimming pool and jacuzzi was a deciding factor when booking but the changing area was mixed sex with broken lockers (we took our bags to pool side), and poor showers with dodgy door catches and sorry to say very dirty. The rest of the hotel was cleaner, a good breakfast, nice reception area, and great central location and opposite a lovely park for dog walking. We only stayed overnight and I would go overnight again if taking the dog but it needs a bit of TLC in areas to consider longer stays.

Room Tip: Check online for cheaper booking deals then ring hotel, they will usually match if booking direct.

Hi STCMWestYorksh,

Thank you for your review, we are sorry to hear that our changing rooms were not in a clean and tidy order, (we do have a morning cleaning who comes in each day to clean) although we will speak to our day staff to make sure more regular checks are done during busy periods.
The lockers do need new pad locks,we have purchased over 500 new locks in the past couple of years unfortunately customers have forgotten to return them and we are currently working on a new system.
We have recently had to ask customers to take their belongings into the swimming pool area.
Once again thank you for your review as this helps us to improve and grow as a company and all comments are welcomed.

Great location close to the centre of St Anne's, clean throughout and staff were friendly.
However...the hotel is well overdue modernisation. Staying during the recent heat wave, it was incredibly hot - no fan. The room was small, particularly the bathroom which had a low pressure shower but no bath. The door could only be opened from the inside with the key which could have been an issue in an emergency.
Breakfast finishes at 9:30 and check out is 10:00 so maybe it's a good thing that we couldn't sleep in the heat!

When we got there we had to wait at reception a while until someone came but he wasn't sure how to check us in. He was better on the bar we discovered later though!
It's been a really hot week so it's not surprising the room was hot but it really was hot! It was a small room with a smaller en suite. There were 2 windows which opened wide but our room was on the front and people on the road could see into your room so you had to close the curtains, missing any fresh air! There were no fans available.
Then I got in the cold shower, but then it was boiling, then cold, then boiling - you get the point.
The hotel was clean though.
When we got back someone kindly opened the door for us even though we had a key which was nice.
The room was soooooo hot again. Couldn't sleep really because the room was so hot and light.
Breakfast wasn't great quality either.

Myself my husband and my son who suffers from MS stayed here 19/7/14 to 25/7/14 totally disabled friendly nothing was to much trouble for my son as he struggles eating some foods , on arrival a menu was totally adapted for his needs by the hotel manager , the room he stayed in was lovely and totally safe for him and we were offered extra portable grab rails for his and our security we were also given a spare key for his room Too which put us at ease aswell. Our room was beautiful overlooking Ashton gardens and was great for walking, out little doggies . The food was all home cooked with exceptional choices each night nothing was to much trouble for the staff the bar was reasonably priced too which was an added bonus . We will defeinately be back soon and would recommend this hotel to anyone , the laundry service was an added bonus and our washing was even ironed for us without asking . Thanks to magdalene and Leanne who may our stay special

Room Tip: We had a front bay room overlooking the beautiful Ashton gardens which was directly over the road

I stayed with my husband and dogs for the weekend. Originally we booked as I planned to do a race there on the Sunday but didn't as I was injured. We decided to still go anyway and enjoy the weekend. We were pleased that they allowed our well behaved dogs in the bar area. Our room was large and clean. I did remove a chair to give us a bit more space but the staff were happy for me to do this. The hotel is ideally located opposite Ashton Gardens which is a lovely clean park and near to shops and bars. The food in the restaurant was average and I think mainly aimed at the older clientele that they attract. We did not waste it as the dogs enjoyed what we left! The swimming pool was great and I enjoyed a swim both mornings. We would return to this hotel because of the location, pool and the fact it is dog friendly.

Room Tip: We had 125 and it was only noisy because it was very hot and we had to have the windows wide open an...

A much needed relaxing weekend provided by a warm and friendly hotel. Lovely staff made us feel very welcome. Pool, steam room and sauna to enjoy. And no bother to alter breakfast for a vegetarian. Possibly a little old fashioned but good value for money and excellent location. I was slightly worried about taking our dog with us but the staff treated him like an honoured guest rather than a nuisance, and even gave us a larger room. Very much appreciated! Would go back again.
