“Dance holiday”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

This was the second time my wife and I stayed at this hotel on a dance holiday organised by our dance teachers - The Dance Mavericks. Our room, overlooking a courtyard, was small but bright and the bathroom was very good with modern tiling and fittings. Only one bedside reading lamp was provided, but this could be easily remedied. The cleaning staff were friendly and attentive.
Breakfast, buffet style, was excellent with plenty to eat and coffee, served in a pot, was very good. BUT no black pudding!!!!!
The evening meal was 'hotel quality' with a choice of dishes and, again it was good quality. The waiting staff were friendly and effient.
The only thing I don't like is the piped music in the bar/lounge areas, but that could be me.
The staff in reception were friendly, efficient and welcoming.
There were a few niggles but all in all this was avery enjoyable stay, I have given a four out of five, but it was nearly top marks. I agree that this was an expensive holiday, but we did have a day dancing at Blackpool Tower ballroom, so, all in all I am a happy bunny!

Room Tip: Ask for an outside facing room, and if not happy ask to be moved. The staff are very helpful.

We booked a family room that slept 3 the night before with dinner & breakfast for £175. The room was ready before the 3pm check in which was the only blessing. The pool didn't provide any towels for my husband & little girl, there was facilities in the room to brew up but they don't provide biscuits. The plug was stuck in so only my little girl had a bath, when we went for our tea we informed reception along with the in room safe again not working. Our tea was very poor, me & my little girl had roast beef dinner which was tough & not even Luke warm!!! The staff all around us started getting the dining room ready for breakfast even though it should have been open for another hour. We finally went back to our room & the plug was still stuck with cold used water in it, I tried to phone reception but to no avail as the room phone had no dialling tone so had to use my mobile. I asked about the water in the bath to be told it would be sorted in the morning,I explained that we were leaving in the morning and what had I paid the £145 for? I also told them about the phone they sent someone to look at both. I had checked the phone myself the wire was very dusty along with both headboards and the single drawer. After trying for nearly an hour to get it right to no avail we were given a key to the other family room to use that shower along with a bottle of Spumante Yuk & a less than a £1 Easter egg which was white chocolate that no one liked either! Bottom line I wouldn't recommend it especially for the price paid!!!!

We have not been to the Inn for some time now, but were not disappointed at all
All the main ingredients were spot on, a nice clean room, all of our 3 course meals were good
and the restaurant staff are excellent and very attentive esp for the breakfasts which in other
hotels always seem to be a problem, ie lack of staff and running out of cooked food, not so
the Inn and unlike another so called posh hotel up the road, the breakfast choice is not restricted.
And yes there is also kettle in the room to have a nice cup of Tea, unlike other hotels who seem
to think that we should just have coffee with their posh nespresso machines..!!
The staff are all very friendly, we had a great time and also enjoyed the entertainment each night. The swimming pool was nice and warm as was the hot tub and sauna.
So no complaints at all, may be a complimentary biscuit with the tea, how about that for a margin to improve, that's how good it was. We even had loads of Easter mini eggs and sweeties for the kids and the big kids to enjoy...

Room Tip: 159 was very handy for the 1st floor lift and quiet

We have just arrived home from a Easter break at the Inn on the Prom and felt the need to tell everybody what a wonderfull place this is.
Our party consisted of four adults and two children and we were booked into two standard rooms, both the rooms were clean, well maintained and spacious, only negative comment the family room no 171 had no blind on the bathroom window and was overlooked by another bedroom.
The hotel is like a rabbit warren with corridors that twist and turn but we still managed to get our daughters wheelchair around the hotel. the only negative was that there is a short flight of steps to the health Club but the friendly staff were only too happy to help and carry the wheelchair up and down.
When we arrived the staff were wearing Bunny ears for Easter and this set the teheme for the weekend, A free Candy Table, Easter Egg hunt and quizzes for the children with loads of free chocolate and sweets.
All members of staff were really friendly and helpfull and are a really good advertisement for the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble they even found a mug for one of our party who struggled to drink from the tea cups in the bar.
We ate in the Cafe bar everyday and the food was nice and reasonably priced for a hotel. The buffet style breakfast was lovelly and there was pleanty of food for everybody.
We are certainly looking forward to returning soon.

Stayed here with my mum on an organised coach short break. We booked through a local company, for a 5 day break with breakfast and dinner included. When we arrived we were quickly booked in and our cases were taken to the room for us. We had a family room, double and 2 single beds. Nice decor and furniture, average sized bathroom, shower over bath. Lovely clean linen and beds very comfortable. Daily housekeeping.
Food- we enjoyed a very good selection at breakfast, and evening meals had 3 choices for starters, 4 for main courses and help yourself to sweet table. Lovely meals.
We used the pool and jacuzzi, there's also a sauna and a gym.
Other facilities of the hotel, a small bar which also had a lunch menu. Games room and a snooker table . some evenings there was live entertainment in the ballroom, which was suitable for the age of the cliental at the time.
Overall a very comfortable friendly hotel and staff, and would recommend this hotel a well deserved 3 star.

Just back from hosting a Solos Dance Break for 'www.Holiday & Dance.com'. Bit of Ballroom/Latin Sequence and Fun dancing with a lovely bunch of people. The hotel was great, staff were very helpful, the massage in the spa was very welcome and the pool was inviting. Rooms very comfortable (pillows just divine!)
Food is lovely and the dance floor is a good size for ballroom dancing. Can't fault this venue for a break by the seaside. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
This dance break was an organised holiday aimed at dancers who do not have a regular partner but I would happliy book a holiday on my own and not feel intimidated. The ideal venue for a weekend spa break on your own or with friends - a swim, pampering in the spa and lovely food.
Well done Tom Croston and the rest of his team.

Room Tip: Treat yourself to an upgrade boutique room and in particular a sea view or one of the 4 balcony room...

We stayed in this hotel a few weeks ago for a weekend break, having stayed here before we were very disappointed this time and we will not stay again! when we got our room there was a strong smell of gas in it They went to investigate and came back and said although there was no gas in bedrooms they thought it was coming from the gas fire in lounge area fumes were getting back blown back in due to the high winds. The manager put it of and said we will air the room but we refused this and asked to be moved they told us they were full but after asking for our money back they moved us. We were then told that we couldn't eat early due to a large bridge party in the hotel. So as we had to eat late we could not then go out to pictures or theatre as it was to late. I feel that they were only interested in the large bridge party and as we paid full price for this we were very disappointed to say the least.
