Excellent stay, arrived Friday evening, welcomed by Russ who gave us the run down. Room A1, clean and comfortable, shower and WC A1. We didn't use the car all weekend, just left it in the car park.
The Live band on Friday were excellent all went down well with a few pints of excellent beer, food looked good and plenty of takers, kitchen kept busy.
Breakfast was excellent as well, can't fault the F/English. The only thing, and it's tiny, would like to see Hot Chocolate and herbal teas in the room, but no problem as we always bring our own.
In all an enjoyable wkend, may come down by train next time as the station is only a stone's throw.

We stayed with friends at this friendly B+B as stopover to IOW. Nicely situated close to Marina. Russell very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast very nice, delightful garden, safe parking, quiet location and rooms comfortable. All in all very pleasant stay.

Eight rooms above a pub close to the Lymington Town Station, and a few minutes walk to the High Street and marina. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Our room, on the second floor, was clean and comfortable. Breakfast, served in the bar, consisted of juice, cereal and a full cooked selection. Secure car parking to the rear.

We got a great welcome, the room was a good size, clean and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was yummy, there's parking at the back, the locations good and the pirce is fair.

The owners and bar staff and even locals are lovely and friendly.

Our only complaint was that the bed in room 1 was a little hard but it's personal preference.

Stayed here last month - and am confused by previous ratings of 5/6!. This is a mediocre B&B over a loud/busy station pub, charging premium rates because of its proximity to Lymington town centre. Apart from friendly staff, there is little that is positive; our room was cold and tired, TV - old (and malfunctioning) and the wi-fi on the blink. £75 for a couple, with a basic breakfast; no, not again.

Living in Poole and working in Brockenhurst isnt exactly a 'match made in heaven'so every now and then we look for a little place to stay to ease the travel burden-Bosuns chair was the latest find, and what a great little pub/BnB this is.Location for Lymington is excellent and the train station at the end of the road is another bonus. The three folk who we met who run the Bosuns Chair are naturals, and have a warming enthusiasm without the overkill-We had a lovely room overlooking the quaint houses leading to the train station of Lymington. It was warm and clean and the breakfast 'boy'was fantastic-We went into the high street for a tapas supper which was also wonderful...Do try Bosuns Chair if your in the area,or even if your in the New Forest. Its great value and delivers exactly what it promised-Thank youxx

Our main reason for staying here was the location, it's very convenient for Lymington Railway station. We had a lovely clean room with a settee at the front of the building, provided with tea & coffee making facilities and a fresh bottle of water by the bed - a nice extra touch. The owners are very helpful and welcoming, and the breakfasts are great and all freshly made. The bar itself is basic (but does serve real ale). At this time of year the pub was very sport-focussed, although one evening there were candles on the tables which changed the mood a little. The only food available in the evening was pie-based, but the pies were very good. The only downside was the bed - a bit harder than we're used to, so that took a bit of adjusting to. Overall very good value for our visit to the New Forest and Isle of Wight.
