The Ship Inn is in a great location on the quay in Lymington. The decor is modern however this venue is let down by the service; many tables not cleared (long after patrons have left), the bar was segregated making it almost impossible for the one bar man to know who to serve next. It was most disappointing to be told (after buying drinks) that the kitchen had stopped service because the pub was too busy - so many empty tables. A real disappointment. (I went here last year and the pretty much the same thing happened - Lymington needs to wake up to the tourists and take advantage of their visits in the summer)

Absolutely terrible place. Plates piled up as high as possible on tables and refused service due to the kitchen being too busy. Others were outraged too so probably not the only review going on here about this occasion on a Saturday afternoon in April. Absolutely shocking and never going there again. Would be interested in hearing what management had to say about this as the smell and service of the staff stank!

Glorious location on the quay's edge. Inside - just another Marstons pub. Nicely decorated and furnished - all recently redone.

This is one of the better pubs in Lymington. Lovely and warm in the winter and perfect in the summer. Can get busy but anywhere any good will be in Lymington. Food is pretty good and I continue to return from time to time when eating out. Beers and not your standard Fosters and such but more Belgian and such. Bit pricey.

WE have been to The Ship several times , the food is always good . It is busy at the W/e & popular with the younger locals .In the summer it is lovely to sit outside by the river ,Service is always pleasant .Price medium for standard .probaly a good idea to book a table can be done on line .
