“Lovely!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014

We had visited the Ship several times before for drinks (the outside area is brilliant with views of the Town Quay), and decided to try the food. What a treat. The inside bar and restaurant is very nice, very spacious with nice furnishing and decor. The food was excellent value for money (in an area which is generally quite expensive), and was very tasty. Alway a plus for me is that they serve Prosecco by the glass (again reasonably priced). The staff were lovely. Well done.

“A disappointment”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2014

The Ship Inn is in a great location on the quay in Lymington. The decor is modern however this venue is let down by the service; many tables not cleared (long after patrons have left), the bar was segregated making it almost impossible for the one bar man to know who to serve next. It was most disappointing to be told (after buying drinks) that the kitchen had stopped service because the pub was too busy - so many empty tables. A real disappointment. (I went here last year and the pretty much the same thing happened - Lymington needs to wake up to the tourists and take advantage of their visits in the summer)

“Smelt of dirty plates and a bad attitude”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2014

Absolutely terrible place. Plates piled up as high as possible on tables and refused service due to the kitchen being too busy. Others were outraged too so probably not the only review going on here about this occasion on a Saturday afternoon in April. Absolutely shocking and never going there again. Would be interested in hearing what management had to say about this as the smell and service of the staff stank!

“Big chain pub”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014

Glorious location on the quay's edge. Inside - just another Marstons pub. Nicely decorated and furnished - all recently redone.

“Good Food, Good Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

This is one of the better pubs in Lymington. Lovely and warm in the winter and perfect in the summer. Can get busy but anywhere any good will be in Lymington. Food is pretty good and I continue to return from time to time when eating out. Beers and not your standard Fosters and such but more Belgian and such. Bit pricey.
