Smile 456 must have got out of the bed on the wrong side the day he visited Passford House. The owner Ian and all the staff are very charming and welcoming and Zara in particular took great care to ensure our every need was met. Our room was well furnished, clean and tidy with a splendid en-suite. The bar and lounges were comfortable and possessed a club-room like ambience. The food at dinner was excellent with a wide choice for those of us staying on the half-board basis. We sampled the bass, lamb, filet steak and liver and bacon dishes and all were excellent. The breakfast is buffet style and in spite of this the eggs were soft and all offerings were piping hot. The hotel welcomes children and dogs which suited our party well. Two nights with dinner and drinks cost just £410 - excellent value.
Rooms can a little hot at night so turn off the radiator and open the window!

Room Tip: If the magnolia trees are in bloom choose room 138

We have stayed here twice over the past couple of years.
The place is quiet and relaxing. The restaurant does fine dining in an old traditional way, which is delightful . The staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable. Yes the leisure facilities could do with some upgrading but this capital investment may be too much for the budge to bear.

We stayed here over the Easter break on a DB&B package in the standard double rooms. The hotel ensured that we had rooms adjacent to each other and we were not disappointed. They were very spacious and well appointed. The only drawback with our room was the lack of lighting in the evening - our friends had a standard lamp in the corner which was missing in ours.
The public rooms were lovely and we made full use of the comfy sofas and roaring log fires which were lit every afternoon (much appreciated as it was very cold outside) and having a cream tea by the log fire was very enjoyable. We noticed other guests made full use of the various games that were provided for guests' use, which added to the homely feel.
We had booked to go on the ferry to the Isle of Wight on Saturday and the Lymington dock was with in 10 minutes drive. Very convenient for a quick day trip!
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meals, the choices were varied and beautifully presented and prepared. We felt the standard was excellent and we would happily return here again.
We would recommend this hotel to all.

just returned from a mid week break at the passford house hotel and we will hopefully return in the warmer months.
we had room 127, a good size family room, tv,tea/coffee/bottled water and white bathrobes to keep us cuddly - however the room was very cosy as the heating was on.
we stayed b&b, (meals out only as we wanted a good tour around, the food looked delicious though)
staff were very oblidging and when there was a woofing dog, they soon intervened to stop it. so we had a very good nights sleep as it was so tranquil.
the gardens were well tendered and i'm sure will look stunning in the summer,
My only niggle was that the indoor pool had a slight green hue to it, and would benefit from a good scrub,
good location to go and tour, cycle, walk around- we loved it (including my sometimes hard to please 11yr old!)
,

Room Tip: our room was quiet -127

We stayed here in February 2013, we brought the dog and were given a room that led directly into the inner courtyard which was perfect. The room was very nice excellent bed clean and lovely linen and a very good size. The food in the evening was just lovely and the staff very obliging. In every way this was just right, close to the walks in the new forest and we would definitely stay again.

Brilliant

Room Tip: If you have a dog, ask for one onto the courtyard.

This is a great hotel for a quiet break in the New forest. It had a very traditional feel to it with oak paneling in the reception rooms, log fire, and the room we stayed in was excellent. The staff were all very polite and friendly, and we made good use of the restaurant, small indoor pool and gym. Its very close to visit Lymington , and you can get to a pleasant area for walking on the Forest right from the hotel. We will definately be going back.
