“Beautiful house and personal touches made this stay very special.”
Reviewed 11 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Masters over Christmas and New Year. The property itself is traditional and felt historic, but with all the luxury amenities you could possibly need. Kate could not have been more helpful, she ensured the bedrooms were configured to our liking (double Vs twin), made sure there were Christmas decorations, including a tree, and sourced us an extremely tasty Turkey from the local butchers. We had a very memorable stay. There were also 2 different groups coming and going so Kate left enough bedding that we could change the sheets half way through as well as 2 travel cots and high chairs. We particularly enjoyed the very old wooden high chair, as did our daughter!

We also made use of the local pubs and surrounding area. A number of the party went for runs along the coast and through Lymington, which in itself is a super little town. Lots of shops, pubs etc and plenty to do. We made it to Bolder Wood a couple of times, and Milford on Sea. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the area for foodies, we tried the Angel & Blue Pig, The Pig, The Silver Hind, The Ship as well as the 2 local Indian restaurants and the fish & chip shop in Lymington. All very tasty!

I am sure we will be back!

“Fabulous house for all 8 of us from 5-75! Felt completely at home!”
Reviewed 10 December 2015 for a stay in December 2015

House is beautifully furnished and all the little extras make it feel really homely. It is in great location for town centre/quay. THE most comfortable beds and linen in wonderfully spacious bedrooms! Can not fault anything and the little notes very helpful.

“Spectacular house, comfortable and full of character”
Reviewed 29 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

A wonderful property, kitted out with everything you might need. A terrific welcome pack. Going the extra mile with clean crisp linen, white towels and little touches such as a proper pepper grinder.

Couldn't fault it. We will be back.

“It's the little things that make the difference!”
Reviewed 3 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Spent a wonderful week here with friends; two families with each having two young teens. The house was in an ideal location for a wander into town, a day's biking in the New Forest and a day trip to catch up with friends on the Isle of Wight. The house was stocked with everything you could wish for, our super king bed was luxury and the service and relaxed attitude of the owner added to a very chilled week.
The traffic noise in the morning was more than we are used to but we wanted character and with that comes sash windows without the noise reduction of double glazing. It certainly didn't detract from the holiday as there's too much to do to waste time sleeping all morning!

“Great place for a weekend away”
Reviewed 27 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Had a lovely long weekend at The Old Masters House. Just a short walk from the town centre and the quay. Plenty of room for the 7 of us. The garden was just lovely. Very relaxing place with everything we needed. Lots of things to do locally and further afield - need to return for more exploring.

“Fantastic house - felt like a home”
Reviewed 9 May 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We stayed for a weekend at the end of April and had a wonderful time. He house is full of character and it has been very comfortably furnished in a style that is in keeping with the surroundings. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated with very comfortable beds and high quality linen. There are charming details such as the old gramaphone and the range of little cups and saucers that make you feel you are in a home rather than in a holiday let.
The house is ideally located, just a few minutes walk from the high street and has ample parking for cars. We cannot recommend the Old Masters House highly enough and plan to return.
