“Lovely food, location and atmosphere”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

We visited the Mayflower on a Thursday evening for a meal. The food was delicious, service excellent and prices reasonable for food and drinks. Don't make the same mistake as us- the portions are VERY generous. We ordered a starter and main each, so left quite a bit of food, even though it was delicious. I can recommend the Cajun Chicken sizzler and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the home made soup and burger with cheese and bacon. Thank you for a lovely meal in a fab location.

“Proper food , nice Staff”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

My wife and i went here on the off chance for T while on Holiday in July , It was about 1730hrs and it was fairly quiet , We ordered Rib eye steak with all the trimmings , I cant do with fancy sauces and silly portions ,and we were not dissapointed , it was real Family made food . The steaks were tender the salad was fresh , the chips were golden and hot , there was no problem when we asked for eggs and onion rings , The service was very good and all the staff were polite and cheery . we also had T for 2 as alway's and they were proper T bag's . We did not have a sweet as the meal was enough for us . we then took a couple of beer's into the Garden area which was full to bursting with Flower's , A great end to a nice day . Then we had a walk along the estury/river

“A good place to visit”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

We visited The Mayflower for a celebration lunch. We arrived early but were made very welcome by the young gentleman behind the Bar. He explained what they had set up for us in the Restaurant. There were possibly over twenty in the party ranging from OAP to the youngest member of the party 6 months old. Everything was available. The service was vert good and the food excellent. I would recommend The Mayflower for a lunch. Afterwards you can go for a wander along the sea front. Well done

“Great food, quick service and lovely garden”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

I've eaten at the Mayflower a good number of times and never had a bad meal. The food is traditional English pub food as you'd expect from any good pub and I'd thoroughly recommend it.
My last fist was in August, we arrived just after 3pm and ordered, food was in front of us in no more than 15 minutes.
We shared a garlic bread with cheese, I had a burger and the Mrs had Scampi, both were just right, tasted great, well cooked and fairly priced.
The garden was sunny, plenty of space and room to sit, the pub was dog friendly and had a great play area for kids, and if the weather was better an outdoor BBQ is on hand.
I love Lymington, it has a very relaxed and chilled vibe and this is my favourite pub to visit, thoroughly recommend it.

“Busy Family Pub-Grub Pub”
Reviewed 2 August 2014 via mobile

Ideal for a large family gathering, outside in the warm sunshine. The food was delivered on time and was fine for the money. Don't expect cordon blue quality though; this is a burgers, chips and brown sauce type of a place. The selection of real beers was great and the service mechanical but friendly and efficient. Well be back for more.
