Description: Located in the harbour of Lymington on the South Coast, The Mayflower is a stunning coastal inn which has superb dining and stylish rooms with seaside views. Our six bedrooms are beautifully finished, each with their own unique, comforting and contemporary twist. Sleep in the finest Egyptian cotton bed linen, bathe in beautiful Victorian roll-top baths and enjoy some down-time with a Nespresso while looking out over the Solent. Recently awarded a coveted AA Rosette, we pride ourselves in supporting all things British and all things local, so expect to dine on the finest ingredients that Hampshire and the beautiful South Coast have to offer. Our talented chefs have lovingly prepared a delicious menu, including beautiful seasonal dishes such as crab and lobster macaroni with spinach, morels and tarragon or Buffalo mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, grilled pepper and basil bruschetta. With an extensive wine list, the best in class ales and a great selection of creative gin cocktails, we have something for everyone at The Mayflower. As a nation, we love to experience the outdoors with our food and drinks. Come summer time, our guests can enjoy our spacious garden, with a picture perfect coastal backdrop as far as the eye can see. The perfect location for al fresco dining. In the winter time, we have real log fires throughout the pub to keep you warm on the coldest of nights. We are conveniently located on the South Coast in Hampshire and are very near to the Isle of Wight and the New Forest - which are truly beautiful at any time of the year, and offer the best in sailing adventures, sightseeing and countryside pursuits. Whether it's a perfectly British Sunday lunch, a lazy afternoon in the garden with friends or a romantic getaway, make The Mayflower your destination of choice!

Whenever we visit Lymington we always make for The Mayflower pub for a delicious meal. If the weather is warm the beer garden is large and it is usually easy to find a table. If it is cold the restaurant area inside the pub is nicely decorated. We have also eaten in the bar area from the same menu when things have been busy.

The food arrives very quickly and is generous in its portions. Really good quality food with salad garnish and coleslaw as standard with a number of meals. Fajitas are a particular favourite with our family. Would definately recommend this pub if you want a good meal.

We had a family lunch here in June 2014.

Really good, wide choice on the menu, great setting by the coast ( bit of a walk along from town centre ) but big car park right by the Mayflower - and it has its own car park too. Lots and lots of tables in the garden; really good sized children's play area with astro ( decent fake grass ); children changed their minds - manager couldn't have been nicer even though the order had gone through tot he kitchen. Fish and chips absolutely excellent - the batter was really superb. Children's pizza was great - good size for a 5yr old.

I am giving the mayflower 4 not 5 only because my burger was only average. But quality and speed of service was 5 out of 5.

Setting is really attractive - but quite a basic garden, with simple pubs tables with benches either side - but I think they had a more 'restaurant' type area closer in to the building which had tables and chairs. - inside definitely looks more 'swish'. Very happy to recommend - in fact we went back two days later!

We visited the Mayflower on a Thursday evening for a meal. The food was delicious, service excellent and prices reasonable for food and drinks. Don't make the same mistake as us- the portions are VERY generous. We ordered a starter and main each, so left quite a bit of food, even though it was delicious. I can recommend the Cajun Chicken sizzler and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the home made soup and burger with cheese and bacon. Thank you for a lovely meal in a fab location.

My wife and i went here on the off chance for T while on Holiday in July , It was about 1730hrs and it was fairly quiet , We ordered Rib eye steak with all the trimmings , I cant do with fancy sauces and silly portions ,and we were not dissapointed , it was real Family made food . The steaks were tender the salad was fresh , the chips were golden and hot , there was no problem when we asked for eggs and onion rings , The service was very good and all the staff were polite and cheery . we also had T for 2 as alway's and they were proper T bag's . We did not have a sweet as the meal was enough for us . we then took a couple of beer's into the Garden area which was full to bursting with Flower's , A great end to a nice day . Then we had a walk along the estury/river

We visited The Mayflower for a celebration lunch. We arrived early but were made very welcome by the young gentleman behind the Bar. He explained what they had set up for us in the Restaurant. There were possibly over twenty in the party ranging from OAP to the youngest member of the party 6 months old. Everything was available. The service was vert good and the food excellent. I would recommend The Mayflower for a lunch. Afterwards you can go for a wander along the sea front. Well done
