“nice addition to town's restaurants”
Reviewed 12 May 2012

Recently opened in Lymington, this friendly tapas restaurant is a lovely and welcome addition to the town. The lunch time menu of 3 tapas and a sharing bread board was amazing value at £8.95 per head and the portions were very generous. The service was excellent and the staff were knowledgeable. The main menu was varied and also great value. I hope this lovely place thrives and wish it every success.

“Second visit disappointing”
Reviewed 2 April 2012

We were delighted that a tapas restaurant opened, and our first vist was nice but on a second visit we were disappointed. Nothing was spicy, was recommended the patatas fit as as a spicy dish, but was not, squid was tough and was served with Marie Rose sauce, rather horrid and not as listed on the menu and as it was so quiet we were annoyed to have to go and fetch a waitress every time we needed something ( although she was very sweet when she came). We intended to stay longer but got fed up with trying to find someone to ask for more dishes as we had said we would like to order a couple of dishes at a time, Spanish style. I do not think the dishes taste as though they are made on the premises to order. Hope they improve as a proper tapas bar could be a lovely addition to Lymington.

“Consistently Brilliant Service and Food”
Reviewed 29 March 2012

Whilst there is choice in Lymington, La Vina really offers a great alternative Spanish menu, served by efficient and friendly staff. I have now been 4 times in 8 weeks for either breakfast or lunch! As an example, for the first visit I had breakfast (£8 including breakfast and two large coffees) which was so tasty that it encouraged me to visit again. As a lunch example there is an excellent value tapas meal - £9 for three tapas (good size portions) a large glass of wine £6.50 and large coffee totalled £17.50 well worth the style, food quality and staff.
You can book ahead and there is a website "club". Nice paved outside area at the back of the restaurant for the summer.

“Breakfast Spanish Style was a delight”
Reviewed 20 March 2012

Four of us had breakfast.. each with different desires... my grand-daughter was delighted with her Spanish doughnut, with delicious chocolate sauce and fresh strawberries, my daughter appreciated the granola, fruit compote and yogurt, my son-in-law consumed his bacon sandwich and part of my Spanish style fried breakfast. Coffee was perfect and all this for a very reasonable amount of money.
