“Cottage lovely, location superb, an idealic holiday!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We have just returned from a week at Quay cottage, Lymington. The cottage is very
homely, well decorated and the attention to detail is second to none. You really do
want for nothing. The beds are also unbelievably comfortable, always a bonus when
you are away! We holidayed with our two teenage Daughters (13 & 18) so we were
a bit apprehensive knowing how fussy teenagers can be. We needn't have worried!
The location was fantastic lots of lovely shops to explore and to eat in! The milkshakes
at the "Boat House" Café a few doors along are "to die for"!! We are all a lot heavier
than when we arrived! The view from the lounge window is great for being nosey! what
more could you want from a holiday?! Thank you so much.

“fab location and great cottage”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We had a wonderful week in the cottage. It is very well equipped, a great location, in fact it couldn't be better. In the evening we would all take a glass of wine and sit at the quay that was right outside the door and watch the boats, train, wild life and people go by. Of course the weather helped, it was glorious. There is a sofa bed in the cottage but possibly 6 adults would be a bit of a pinch, but it was fine for four plus two babies. Parking could possibly be an issue, we had the supplied parking ticket but had two cars, however our family didn't have any problems parking so I wouldn't let that put me off. There's a nice little sitting out area at the back that caught the sun for most of the day. I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending this cottage and in fact we would like to go back again next year.

“Lovely looking property in a good location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

This cottage has been arranged with the lounge upstairs so as to take advantage of the views across the harbour. It is quite a busy spot, but great for just watching all the boating activity, and the ferries going in an out. Wasn't too noisy when we went but maybe a problem at the height of the season, as the main bedroom is at the front of the property. Good location for the town and all its restaurants etc. Very nicely furnished and decorated with a small courtyard garden- a suntrap at certain times of the day. Although the owner wasn't there when we arrived, she made point to pop round the following day to see that everything was OK. Overall a very enjoyable week.

“A lovely cottage at Lymington Quay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Really enjoyed our recent week in this cottage. A perfect location on the quayside . Good quality accommodation and the included parking permit was a bonus. Loved the idea of putting the lounge upstairs to enable uninterrupted views of the boats etc. Food in nearby pubs very good value so no need to cook. Spent many happy hours watching the activity outside this cottage.

“This is the place to stay if you like people watching.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 March 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Have just returned home after staying in this wonderfully placed holiday home. It was certainly a home from home, very well equipped, everything you could possibly want in a holiday home, the beds were very comfortable, and for me to say that (I have suffered with Back problems for years) it must be so.
The view from the upstairs window, which is the lounge, is really special, so much to see on the water, fishing boats, large yachts' mooring up, ducks being fed and people just hanging around, then the train appears on the bridge over the water taking folk to the Isles of Wight ferry terminal. You could spend all day just watching out of window.
There is a wealth of good places to eat in Lymington and the house is well placed for all of them, no need to take the car, just step outside the door and wander over the road to the Ship Inn or walk into town, you will be spoilt for choice. Turn right outside the door and walk for about 5 mins to the Mayflower pub, they do an excellent Sunday roast.
