“Not impressed on a return visit - very overpriced”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

Dined here again with 4 friends on a Friday night. Previously I thought it was expensive and this was re-confirmed. We shared the bill between the 5 of us, even though one wasn't drinking, and it came to over £40 each for a very average meal. We all shared a board of Antipasto then I had pasta with lobster sauce followed by a dessert. The pasta was priced at over £15 which I felt was extortionate! Fresh pasta costs 50p-75p per person, so how can they justify this price? I had exactly the same pasta with lobster at Prezzo the day before for about £10 and it was far superior with a delicious sauce. I won't be back.

Hello
We do apologise that you felt being overcharged, but we do constantly check our prices with our competitors and suppliers to have the value for money. Our egg pasta with lobster, we put around 250g of Lobster. Plus you've mention that only 4 of you where drinking, between the 4 of you, you drunk 3 bottles of wine and if I don't remember wrong 4 of you had dessert!!
We do hope you will return to us.
Regards
Luca

“Buzzy cafe with great food!”
Reviewed 1 March 2014 via mobile

Even though we live in Lymington, we did not spot Ciao Belli until early this year. However, we have made up for lost time by visiting most weeks since January. Very tasty range of food, with some quite unusual specials. They also do a very nice cappuccino or latte, plus a large slice of pannetone bread for £2.99. It is a bustling place with a nice atmosphere - definitely recommended!

“Belli'isimo”
Reviewed 22 February 2014

If you have travelled and enjoyed the culinary delights of Italy then Ciao Belli is a must visit - the vast majority of produce is Italian including a well chosen selection of Italian wines - superb coffee - pastries - wonderful deli / antipasti - daily specials - home made pasta - the best we have had outside of Italy - simply the best imported Italian icecream / sorbet :) - great toasted paninis - the atmosphere is relaxed - warm and welcoming - Luca the owner creates a true Italian experience - Friday & Saturdays they stay open in the evenings the lighting is subtle and candlelit so perfect as a choice for dinner - by day whether simply popping in for a quick coffee or a leisurely lunch daily specials - takeaway - or a party gathering we have never been anything other than impressed by what Ciao Belli offers - a great addition to Lymington 'well done Luca and team !!

“Great coffee”
Reviewed 11 February 2014

Have only had light bites here, and coffee. The latter is quite delicious and would happily go back just for that and the panettone which are well priced. The mozzarella and pesto sandwich was however a lot of money for a very average sandwich, with a side salad smothered in a sludgy and very strong dressing. May have chosen badly so will give it another try - but it seems rather pricey. It is quite a cosy cafe so one can seem a bit overwhelmed if ones fellow diners are a bit over powering.
