“a great informal italian caffe”
Reviewed 30 March 2014

Ciao Belli morphs from an Italian coffee shop and deli by day into a restaurant on Friday and Saturday evenings. And it does both extremely well in our opinion.

For those who need the security of a formulaic chain this may not be to their liking as the chef creates different dishes as the season or mood takes him - rather like chef's do in Italy!
And the staff have Italian accents ...

The food is certainly home made rather than sent to branches from a central kitchen and distribution centre where it is always 'the same'. The food and service and atmosphere is simple with no pretentions. And all the better for it.

So for those who enjoy a simple deli / restaurant / coffee shop run by Italians in the Italian way, this is well worth a visit and is very highly recommended.

And the food is delicious!!!

“When the price is as high as a big pizza pie that's a rip off”
Reviewed 29 March 2014

If you want to pay to be insulted this is the restaurant for you. The good news is it's not just one member they all appear to join in.
We popped in for lunch today to be greeted by sighs and tuts I walked to counter to ask for a table because the other members of staff were busy chatting. The young lady behind the counter was so rude and patronising which she managed to keep up throughout the entire meal, we ordered two identical salads which when arrived looked nothing like each other, and at best were poor.
When we left we were given a huge bill that would help Greece with its national debt.
Defiantly do not recommend waste of money.

Finally a bit of Italy also in Lymington. Excellent food and very friendly stuff. for lunch break is perfect and if you like a piece of handmade cake and a superb coffee than you must stop there. There is always something new and that is also what attract me.I will certainly return.

“How much fun was that?”
Reviewed 18 March 2014 via mobile

Lunch mid week. I guess I am having an Italian moment. House red is well chewy and full of fruit. Pasta with calamari was very fine and the service was fun and pleasant. It made a nice change to find something this relaxed with good core med food without a brand and in lymington. Well impressed. I will return.
