“Bit expensive”
Reviewed 3 April 2014

Food was admittedly very nice (belly pork) and the portion size sufficient, but you are looking at the yachty-end of the market. But then you can't blame Stanwells/Wytes for playing to their strengths. The bar bill was a shocker, but again, you know what to expect as soon as you pass the entrance! The bar is quite funky and a unique feature for the town. You can find out what I mean when you visit!

“good food, lack of atmosphere”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

Food was terrific, staff superb but there was a lack of atmosphere. Admittedly we arrived early as we had booked for 7.30 having travelled that day but feel that some music would have been helpful. luckily things improved chatting to a large party on the next table who had travelled from an area local to us. This could be a fabulous place but there is definitely something lacking which is a great shame given the quality of the food and service. If you are a large party this would not be an issue but for a couple or a small group it is somewhat lacking the buzz.

“Good Quality Food”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

Even though I live nearby I have never really thought about visiting here until given a voucher for Christmas, the voucher was for 6 Tapas plates and 2 Cocktails, when we rang to book we were advised that they were no longer doing Tapas but platters instead. Although confused as the website still says Tapas not bothered as the Platters offered were good. The girl that served us was very friendly. The food did take slightly longer than I would have expected, however on receiving the platters this became very understandable as there was a lot of food! Instead of the 6 Tapas we got 3 large Platters, Tex Mex (amazing and my favourite), Charcuterie and Vegetable, all 3 were delicious and went down well with our cocktail. Would love to visit again and definitely recommend, although 3 Platters is definitely too much for 2!

Great cocktails, reasonable prices, good atmosphere, a bit of live music, plus fabulous Espresso Martintis.

“Mohito Mohito Mohito”
Reviewed 5 February 2014

Saturday night and we're just off the boat out of the rain and wind to find some food and some cocktails, not necessarily in that order. Please to find that they had a table and some tapas for a party of 5. Nice, friendly staff and a good selection of dishes, especially the squid which was fabulous. The beer was good, the bar funky, with a nice atmosphere and some funky tunes, but the Mohito was superb. We've had good cocktails in top London bars but this was excellent. A grand night was had by all and we will return... very soon
