A really good well situated base for a holiday in the New Forest and superb breakfast. Couldn't ask for more. Very comfortable room with own access so felt very relaxed. All home comforts catered for and Julie really gets the details right.

Me and my partner stayed at the The Olde Barn for 2 days, attending a Motocross event in Matersley. This B&B was ideally located. Julie was a wonderful host and, extremely friendly, she really made us feel welcome. We had an excellent stay the facilities were great, the room was very clean and spacious with all the modern amenities. The choice of breakfasts were delicious. I would most definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!! Our only regret was we didn't get to stay longer :(

Thank you Julie for a wonderful stay

Stayed for 2 nights. We had room 1 which is the largest of the milk shed conversions. A huge room with a nice big bath and show. Julie Dished us up an enormous breakfast which kept us going all day. Lots to do in the area with some lovely sea walks within minutes.

Room Tip: Ask for Room 1, its the biggest.

First time in the area for me and found this little gem on the internet. Only a two day stop for golf at Barton-on-sea (great course with views of I O W and superb clubhouse). Turned out to be a very handy choice, because Host Julie is a member, previous captain and good golfer too!
Runs a lovely B and B which is very well appointed, extremely neat and tidy with premium brand toiletries, home from home really.
Julie was very helpful with places to visit, cooks an excellent breakfast and has plenty of tips with where to go (and not to go) on the golf course.
Thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Barton, Lymington or any area of the South New Forest.

Room Tip: Rooms are (or appear to be), in a superbly converted stable block across the courtyard from the main...

Had a really nice stay here - it is situated in a perfect location to head out and explore the New Forest. Room was lovely, and breakfast was delicious. Julie was a lovely host. Shame we stayed for just one night but we will definitely be back. Now go and book a stay here!!

Room Tip: please don,t choose our room,as it can be hard to get a booking.

Although it was a flying visit, 1 night only, we could not have wished for a better place to stay. the room we were in was comfortable, spotlessly clean and had all what would be expected of accommodation far more expensive than the £65 we paid. Breakfast was included in the price and the choice was brilliant, practically any cereal imaginable, fresh fruit for the healthy eaters and obviously the 'Full English' for those not feeling so healthy. The breakfast was cooked to order by Julie, mine host, and it was cooked to order and perfection. I would imagine it would be very difficult to find a place to stay in the New Forest where you are made so welcome and looked after for the price. Thank you Julie, if we are in need of accommodation again you will be the first person to contact.

Room Tip: No tip from what I could see all rooms are of excellent quality.
