It's nearly 1am and I'm sat in bed wide awake and there is some kind of extractor fan noise going on outside that is driving me crazy. All the staff have left, my other half went down to find them and not a soul in the building. We tried to ring the phone number and no answer. This is possibly the worst nights stay I have ever experienced in a hotel and there is no way of contacting anyone to get it resolved. It's going to be a long night.

Had a weekend fishing trip out of Lymington and stayed at the Mayflower on the Saturday night.Being tiered we decided to eat there and have an early night.Pleased we did as even though they were busy the food and service I could not fault. My room was bright, cheery and spotlessly clean.Tea and coffee.in the room and they provided me with an ice bucket for my own wine .They made us a lovely packed lunch as we had an early start before breakfast time.I feel they went over and beyond what you would usually exspect.Great management and staff.Hats off to them

Been to this tremendous pub numerous times so was amazed to find I have not reviewed it previously - guess we just accept it as a regular lunch-stop of ours when we take our boat over to Lymington. The menu is extensive and the first time there, it leads you to think maybe it is all freezer to microwave food - NOT SO!!! The kitchen is incredibly well run and there seem to be loads of staff on hand too. The food is tasty and hot and definitely freshly prepared. At w/ends there is also a BBQ for added choice. Would recommend the Nachos - delicious. Their baguettes are great too as are their salads and BBQ. Not eaten main courses there, but recommended some friends to eat there and they reported that the service and food was great. The garden is huge and even when busy there is always a table to be found. Excellent.

We came here to eat once and have been back many times. In the evenings the inside area is divided up into a restaurant type area and the pub, both of which you can eat in but with different service. I find this quite odd but cest la vie! In the summer months there is a lovely garden with a beautiful view over the harbour and there are barbeques held in peak season which are very nice.
my personal favourites are the sizzlers which are delightful and which i look forward to each time we visit!

Great staff, big garden and fresh food. On a summers day, it is just the job to relax while the children play in the playground, rejoining us briefly to eat to return to the activities. Gammon was not as thick as some which was nice and the trout salad was superb. Good all round experience...

Have made various visits here for lunch or early evening food and never been disappointed. Quality and service always been good. 5pm to 7pm is happy hour but also they serve two burgers or two sizzler meals for £12 Monday to Friday 5pm to 7pm. We had a rump steak and also a prawn fajita which were cooked to perfection (a £1.50 premium applied to both) Steak served with large bowl of chips, onion rings and mushrooms. Large garden area outside with small childrens playground area. Close to Lymington harbour so pleasant post or pre lunch wandering around the area. Great place to chill out on a wet Feb afternoon beside the log fire.
