Easy booking and plenty of time choices. We were actually able to get on an earlier crossing on our outward journey. After a full day out again the Company were able to get us on an earlier return crossing than booked. Great service.

Cannot for the life of me work out the benefits of portsmouth/fishbourne improvements at the terminals. Chaotic yesterday. No quicker with new drive on facilities. Overpriced. Red funnel is much better value, more organised and staff at least care about their customers. Won't be travelling wightlink again.

Dear siniraji

I was sorry to read you were unhappy with the facilities at our ports.

Our new double deck loading allows us to unload and load our largest ferry St Clare much faster and next year another double deck ferry will be joining our fleet, meaning the benefits of this improvement will double.

We are also starting to use our new vacuum mooring system that means the ship can berth quicker and our crew have more time to spend helping customers leaving and arriving on the vessel.

I'm sorry you feel the way you do but hope this information helps explain some of the benefits of our investment in services.

Went to the IOW from Lymington for a business trip. Booked on line really easily and on arrival joined the queue to board the ferry.

Once we had driven on we went up to the passenger deck to get some refreshments. There was a queue but the staff worked hard to serve everyone as quickly as possible.

The captain was very chatty on the intercom and explained how he had to keep to the speed limit in the harbour but once in open water would be going up to warp factor 10!

It was a really smooth crossing and the time went really quickly.

Coming back we were booked for the 3pm ferry but were lucky to be able to catch the 2pm sailing. Again a quick smooth crossing.

Would recommend and use again.

We used the Wight ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth and the found the whole experience very good. The loaders were very efficient and this happened very quickly and on time. There is a cafe on both sides and toilets. We took a spaniel with us and she had a wonderful time as everyone was fussing her. There are still places open this time of year and we found a fabulous place to eat called The wyte mouse. We visited the glass factory and shop and various gift shops. On the return journey we made the ferry by a whisker but there were no complaints and we were first off. Certainly be going again.

I am buying a property on the Island and took my aunt over to see it and measure for curtains and so on. Was pleasantly surprised to discover it was worth taking the car for the two of us (factoring in public transport and parking costs if we didn't ) even though it was half term and last minute and had a very straight forward journey. Staff were v. pleasant and helpful. I was worried I wouldn't have enough space getting out - I am not disabled as such but have a dodgy knee which means I need to open car door a bit wider than most. However it was fine and the helpful "loader" said another time to contact customer services for an accessible spot. As it was in and out was fine it was getting between the bumpers of the cars on the mezzanine that was a bit of a wriggle. so I do recommend anyone with any mobility restrictions takes the advice to get the clear access.

Lounge is quite comfortable and coffee was good. Unloading prompt and painless and were In Newport by 11 having left Lymington at 10!!!

Returning there was a slight delay due to the other ferry being late leaving and the restrictions on them crossing in the river however it was explained and even though we were among the last off we were clear within the 10 minute delay predicted.
As someone moving to the island, I was glad to know that good value car fares are available if you can pick your time (the ferry is a certain size and it is supply and demand like everything else).
