“Excellent Bed and Breakfast by the sea!”
Reviewed 18 July 2013

We have just stayed at the harbour Lights bed and breakfast for one night. This was a trip booked at very short notice for us to get away due to a family bereavement. We were met upon arrival by a very friendly couple, Frances and Michael. There was a problem with some roadworks behind their property so Michael came in our car to show us how to go 'the long way round' to get to their carpark, brilliant service! We had a lovely spacious room, overlookin the sea, very close to the beach. We had a scrummy full English breakfast in the morning, which went down a treat. Both Frances and Michael were very friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us. Well worth another visit!!!

Room Tip: Our room No 2, was perfect as it had a lovely view of the sea, and a third bed.

Fantastic friendly guest house, nothing was too much trouble for owners Frances and Michael even when we got stuck in traffic and arrived late evening. We stayed for 2 nights to be able to attend a family wedding. We had a family room (room 5) which was spotlessly clean (and I can be quite fussy) spacious with tea & coffee facilities & fantastic sea views. Our son loved the added bonus of a flat screen tv/dvd and free wifi. For breakfast there was too much choice, a freshly cooked full english, good choice of cereals, toast, tea, coffee, juices and lots of it. Would definately reccomend staying here and if our travels take us to Lowestoft in the future we will definately be staying at the Harbour Lights. Thank you Frances and Michael.

Room Tip: We had room 5 a family room with double, single & optional z bed if needed, en-suite facilities...

My colleague and I stayed here whilst visiting the Port for work. We had a twin room (one double and one single bed) with en suite and a sea view. The room was compact but clean, comfortable and perfect for a good nights sleep. Breakfast was lovely, Michael and Frances are welcoming and friendly and was happy to tailor the cooked breakfast to suit. I had poached eggs that were perfect!! The location is great for the seafront and exploring the town and and I hope to go back in the summer to see Lowestoft in a sunnier setting!

Two middle aged men left the wives for a weekend to do some sea fishing in January. We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival and contineously throughout our stay. The room we had was immaculate and tidy, spacious and warm. On suit with tv and refreshments. Great seafront views and quiet. The breakfast was superb and being two hungry men, it sustained us both till evening.
Thanks for a great stay, see you again most definately

Room Tip: Book in advance to avoid disapointment as this is a popular B&B for contractors as well as holid...

Needing two rooms for business in Lowestoft, this guest house proved to be an excellent find. Forget your Premier Inns at £80 and rubbish breakfast, the rooms were spotless, comfy and Michael knocked up a delicious full english for me and my colleague. OK, so the room wasnt en suite, but the location is great, true sea views from my room and we were able to park right outside. Short stroll to the Pier and a few pubs etc. I rarely review hotels as very few meet expectations, but Im happy to take the time to review the Harbour Lights. Enough reason to come back to Lowestoft for a social visit!

The rooms in this guest house are spotlessly clean, comfortable and well maintained. Breakfasts are delicious and generous. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Harbour Lights is in a great location being within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants and the attractions of Lowestoft. On our next visit to the area we will not hesitate in booking this guest house.

Room Tip: Rooms 2 and 5 have great sea views.
