“Great stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 November 2013 via mobile

Was a bit weary about booking another budget chain hotel as have had some awful experiences with Travelodge, however, I put my faith in the high volume of positive reviews on here and so glad I did!
Stayed for one evening with my partner and 1 year old. Rang in advance to request a cot which I was pleased to say had been put in the room and made up with lots of spare blankets ready for our arrival. Check in was very speedy with two lovely, helpful ladies on reception desk. Ample free parking on site also a bonus. The room was pleasant (we had a family room) and included a bath which is not usual for a budget chain room. The tv had lots of different channels available including a Cbeebies which was a great help! and the quiet location of the hotel meant that we all had a peaceful nights sleep.
Would suggest booking the Beefeater restaurant (on site) in advance if you are planning to eat here as it was fully booked by 5pm, although there are lots of other places to eat nearby including a Harvester one minutes drive up the road.
Overall a great stay when considering the average price of the accommodation- will def stay again if returning to the area.

Just returned after a short two night stay here with my partner. From the minute we walked through the door until we left, all staff members were so polite and welcoming, even from just a "hello" or "good morning" to holding doors open for us and smiling, it felt a lovely atmosphere. We only paid £58 between us for our stay and it was worth every single penny plus more! The bedroom was spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable, I had the best two nights sleep I have had in as long as I can remember! Breakfast was lovely too, friendly staff and a great variety of food available. Some people do not choose to stay in Premier Inns on weekends away but I would choose them every time as we always seem to get the warmest welcomes and best comfort here. My partner and I came away to celebrate us being together for three years and I cannot have wished for a better place to stay - We are both students so could not afford anything pricey; however, I don't feel we missed out on anything by taking a cheaper option! A very enjoyable weekend had by us both and thank you very much to all the lovely staff and cleaners :)

Room Tip: We had a room upstairs and we didn't get disturbed at all :)

This hotel is not to be missed if you want first class customer service. The hotel reception were welcoming and pleasant. A special mention for the service provided by the pub. The tables were spotless, big thank you to Lauren for taking the time to make conversation with a guest, often not the case when a male is travelling alone. Breakfast was a feast and cooked to perfection. Take the time to book to eat in, you will not be disappointed. Probably one of the best I have stayed in and that is some mean feat after being a customer for over 7 years!

Room Tip: Ask to have a room in the old part of the building, it is hidden from the road and protected by the...

Stayed at this hotel with my partner for a couple of nights last week.
The room (118) was big and comfortable which I would expect. In this day and age I would expect free wi-fi 24/7 and not just 30 minutes. The reason I think this hotel is only average is the artexed ceilings, electric trunking going round the room and electric heating out of date. This said the beds are very confortable which give you a good nights sleep. The cleaners are very pleasant and helpful. I didn't like when walking into the hotel the vast groups of people smoking which meant taking in gulpfuls of smoke while entering the hotel. I think Premier Inn should find an alternative area towards the back of the hotel for the smokers which would probably help them and improve Premier Inns image. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Please note that if having breakfast at this hotel it is actually at the Beefeater at the front of t...

Stayed in September 2012 for 2 nights and then again in September 2013 for one night.
Lovely hotel, good location, with friendly staff and good food. Room was clean and spacious and also quiet.
Good value for money for a budget weekend away.

Booked this as last resort as everything seemed full for half term. Glad I did it was exactly between the resorts we visited and although on a busy road, rooms were very quiet. Easy, quick and friendly check in. The restaurant was fully booked until late, but a quick walk down the road to a Harvester or a large Tesco with lots of snacks and drinks available.

My husband and I stayed here for one night and having stayed here a few years ago and it as a really good hotel we were disappointed. Our room was on the front so the road noise was very loud and this was all night as it is on a busy road. The room was also not as clean as it should be there was splashes of face cream on the bathroom walls, the throw on the bed was stained with make-up and other marks and the walls were quite badly scuffed.having stayed in a lot of premier inns this was one of the worst unfortunately.
