“Excellent”

Visited here on a recent visit to East Anglia and very glad I did. For only £8 entrance gets you as many trips on the trams, trolleybus and miniature railway as you want and walk around the grounds to see the other exhibits.
Has a great cafe selling refreshments and a souvenir shop. Overall a very enjoyable way to spend 3 hours or so on an afternoon, especially if you like nostalgia, trams or buses etc and very good value for money.

“Those were the days”

Those were the days
The East Anglia Transport Museum Is a great place to visit takes you back to days of yester year the pace was slower,

I heard from on child ask his dad what’s a trolley bus and a volunteer gave the child an answer that the child was happy with and understood (well done that man).

We enjoyed taking our son when he was young and now we enjoy going with out him.

It worth the visit.

“Open day”

Chance to ride on vintage trams and buses. Some longer trips to Beccles available. Annual event which could do with more local publicity as locally no one knew about it. I found out about it on the internet.

“Transport timepiece”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014

From the moment you arrive, you aren't a visitor but a welcome guest. Old fashioned courtesy and friendliness is the order of the day from the enthusiastic and knowledgable volunteers.

The compact site is home to working trams, trolleybuses and narrow gauge railway. Young and old alike can enjoy rides on the various forms of transport and maybe experience some of the practical difficulties that can occur. For example, the overhead poles that collect the current from the overhead wires sometimes become entangled and order has to be restored. Out come long bamboo poles and, with no small amount of dexterity, power is restored and the service continues.

The café provides hot and cold food and drinks and the toilets are very clean.

This is a leisurely attraction, though the rides are at very regular intervals, giving plenty of opportunities to experience the different modes of transport.

To get the most from your visit, find time to talk to the volunteers and this will become a real living museum.
