Pontins Pakefield Holiday Park

don't book to early,we booked in january and paid £124.44 each,we had the same accomadation of those who booked at almost half the price via a newspaper add at £98 and even £69
I can recommend the breakfast and the salads otherwise forget the food, all chalets are being equiped for self catering so in place of a wardrobe you get a microwave and a toaster even though we were full board, you have to supply you own linen and pay card fees even with a debit card.this resort is not for the over 50 but for young families willing to buy micro meals from the nisa supermarket, there are much better resorts very near to pakefield who welcome the over 50.

Room Tip: You would need to UpgradeTo Get a Room With Hopefully A Wardrobe..

Have just returned from Pakefield Pontins after a wonderful dance weekend organised by Hepcats. The majority of the staff at Pakefield are cheerful, hardworking and on the whole, helpful. However don't ask for an extra pillow (surplus to the one each allocated to your room) as you may be accused of being 'demanding ',and please go into your room with a sense of humour, they have installed a hanging rail over the top of a sink unit which if we hung clothes there we could not used the sink, we felt this area would have been better used for a wardrobe,as there wasn't one. Beds and pillows are thin as said in other feed back, but rooms were warmer than expected. The bathroom was huge and we had no problems whatsoever with hot-water this is always a bonus on a dance weekend. We found the food was reasonably good, plentiful and hot, could have done with a change of towels as mandatory rather than having to request them....'demanding' again!!
All in all good weekend

We are just back from a 60's weekend at Pontins Pakefield all i can say is i'm glad i have a sense of humour and a patient husband and friends ! We did nothing but queue from the time we got there til we left , 30 mins to queue for keys, then queue for food which was surprisingly good but cold by the time we got back to the table , then the bar was a joke 45mins to queue to get a drink ! The accommodation was supposed to be self catering there were no table or chairs or a fridge , it just seemed they hadn't quite finished the job ! Most of the staff were friendly although we were greeted by one rude man who said as we were getting our food " take it or leave it welcome to Pontins " and a few of the younger men could do with a coarse in manners !

We went on a 60s weekend run by GN Holidays. The total cost of the weekend was £99 for bed breakfast and evening meal - the food was excellent and the choice of food was also good but you do have to queue. The bar was 99p per drink from 6 pm - 9 pm and the first night we queued for 45 minutes as the bar was so busy and the staff weren't properly trained but the following 2 nights were fine. The rooms were ok but the beds weren't the normal size single beds they were smaller, the pillows (even with 2) didn't support your head at all (just like have a blanket really they were so thin) and there wasn't a wardrobe in the room. We stayed in a classic room which did have a microwave but no fridge, it also had a small tv which worked fine. The entertainment was excellent as were the Pontins staff.

Room Tip: Upgrade your room to get a wardrobe and fridge - the single beds are (unfortunately) fairly narrow.

Just come back from a 60's weekend at Pontins Pakefield that was organised by GN Holidays. It was very good value for money at £99 per person for 3 nights Half Board inc entertaiment.
On the good side was the value and entertainment which consisted of daytime quizes and competitions and a Sunday afternoon tribute singer plus live entertainment on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. Worse part of the entertainment was The Rockin Berries though mainly because of the sound quality.
There were a lot of people checking in at the same time which could have been better organised by having big signs to say which letters (your surname) to go to to pick up keys. The chalets are very basic and quite bizarre in their equipment. Microwave, toaster, kettle cutlery and crockery plus a few cooking items and a small sink in a corner of the room but nowhere to sit and eat other than on the bed, no tea towels or fridge so am not sure if this is the start of a re-fit or not. The bed was old and you could feel the springs but we seemed to have new bedding. There was a small colour TV, wardrobe and chest of drawers and in the second room which we obviously didn't use there were bunk beds and another small chest of drawers and wardrobe. Some aspects of cleanliness were OK but there was think dust in other areas. A bath mat is needed and whilst there wouldn't be a problem in summer the heating was only just about adequate by leaving the heating on even to a point of putting the bathroom fan heater on when not using the bathroom. I wouldn't want to go there again in the weather that we have just had and would really struggle if it was cold and wet if I had children as there there would be nowhere to put wet clothes and shoes. Food was of a reasonable standard (again for what we paid) but the queues could get you down. There was a 99p bar but after waiting for 40 minutes on the Friday night each time we went to the bar we decided to buy as a bottle of wine and also take our own drink. All in all the weekend was good as it was good value and good fun made by the fact that there were 4 couples. I would possibly go again to one of these weekends but definately not if there were going to be families there as the thought of kids running around the dining rooms and bars would be a nightmare

Room Tip: Would really depend on what you were there for as some rooms are nearer one set of entertainment tha...

We had a fantastic family holiday due to Pakefeilds AMAZING Bluecoats! My kids were treated like royalty and were spoilt for choice of what activities to do.We have booked to come bk a few times this year already, because of this! I was extremley impressed with the Bluecoat shows you had on in the evenings exspecially Madhouse in October, this show was mind blowing from amazing song choices to choreography were spot on! Everybody was included and then the Fantastic Wendy wu who choreographed the whole show in limited time! Just wow! The programme was spot on there was always something going on for everyone, I had no children complaining for 4 days and thats amazing! My kids cant wait to get back to see Bluecoat Wendy who in my eyes is your top Bluecoat always around smiling and talking to guests and dancing with the kids in the ballroom! She is a great role Model to all young girls, we hope to see her when we are back very soon!

Room Tip: Let your hair down!
