“Fabulous food and wine at Fishers”

A real find for those visiting Suffolk. Made to feel so comfortable- spotless room and bathroom, great bed, breakfast tops- fresh kipper on the bone. Wanted to treat my family to a dinner and food was very special, wine delicious, service smooth and I felt so proud of the occasion.
Would highly recommend this family- run hotel in a refurbished old house.

Work booked the hotel for my first Lowestoft visit. My colleagues all rate the hotel as best place to stay. Room was good with very good bed. Bathroom with large shower was somewhat odd with the patterned carpet that had also been installed ! Room and bathroom both had a continuous noise as if the whole hotel water supply was gushing through pipes in the walls / floors. This did stop around 11pm, but re-started at 6am. Dinner on night one could have been excellent; chef smothered fish and separate potatoes in sauce and butter respectively. Not a place for watching your weight. Only had continental breakfast next morning, which was fine. Night two went for veggie option, which was small for the price charged. My other colleagues had huge steaks, which were excellent. Lounge bar smells of damp and one section of the bench seats under the telly are on their last legs. Owner quite personalable and well organised at check out.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel, which is away from the road and my noisy room !

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room (not to mention excellent shower). We stayed here for one night and it was a very pleasant stay. We got one of the rooms that have an external door onto the car park. Despite being road side of the hotel we were not disturbed by the noise of the traffic. We frequently use hotels when visiting friends but this is the first time we have stayed here. It won't be the last...

We stayed here for my husbands birthday, two nights, very nice room . We had a walk in shower much better than over the bath. Plenty of room, we had a sofa in our room wich was a nice touch. We also had a meal in the restaurant the duck i had was lovely, and breakfast in the morning was just enough for us. All in all a very nice stay.

Stayed overnight here or work (Feb 8th) on the recommendation of a colleague, as I usually stay at the Victoria when visiting Lowestoft. Must say I will definitely be booking this hotel for future visits! The place has a very homely feel about the place, and doesn't come across as a lifeless chain type hotel. Welcome and Check in was nice and easy, the room itself was ideal - very clean, decent sized, plenty of wardrobe/drawer space, bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was adequately sized, and I much preferred the double shower instead of the usual shower over bath; there was hardly any noise from the other rooms nearby either. We didn't eat in the hotel in the evening as a couple of us fancied an Indian that night so just drove a couple of miles up the road to a recommended place; but the breakfast in the morning was lovely! We did spend time in the bar after eating, and watched the match on TV. Thought the bar was excellent, decent stock of varying beers and lagers, a nice atmosphere and a real pub feel to it.

Stopped here 1 night. Slightly further out of town but this hotel is a little gem. Clean, quiet, friendly, comfortable and great value. Excellent food and a good amiable bar. If back in Lowestoft I wouldn't be looking elsewhere. Very accommodating and comfortable
