Situated on the edge of Queens Park the building may be small but it punches well above its weight in terms of I interest. Free admission gives you access to local history/geology at its best. Good for both adults and children and combined with a walk round the park it's a great way to spend a couple of hours.

“Perfect example of the best”
Reviewed 1 July 2014 via mobile

This is a small compact venue easily accessed with a splendid narrative and well documented displays. One of the best local museums I've visited. Well done all involved. Children will love it and it is set in a lovely town park which also has a War Museum in the nearby Carillon

“You can research Sir Edward Elgar here!”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

Don't miss this small, intimate museum, lots of local interest, with a cafe attached providing smashing grub at realistic prices.
Loved the display on Elgar, coming from Worcester as I do, loads of information & original documents on his life & connections with Loughborough.

I love the static displays, but I love the changing displays even more! I regularly pop in just to see what's changed. friendly, knowledgeable staff.
