Had a really lovely night's stay, comfortable bed, nice breakfast and handy for town. The two things that really stood out were the welcome I got from the house and the quality decor - I especially liked the 'picture wall' downstairs! Wouldn't stay anywhere else if I have to visit Loughborough again 😊

Excellent in every way. I only tend to write reviews for places that really impress me and Holywell House certainly qualifies. Having booked late in a town that I don't know, I was not expecting much. However, it had good reviews on Tripadvisor and turned out to be very comfortable with large tastefully decorated rooms in a converted vicarage. I chose the single room with en-suite spa bath which I can recommend if you like a relaxing soak! Holywell House has a central location with adjacent car park and easy walking distance from shops and restaurants. I was warmly greeted on arrival and provided with a delicious breakfast to send me on my way. Book early though - it seems to be quite popular.

Room tip: Some rooms have a spa bath.

This has to be the best, most comfortable, welcoming and well priced B&B I have ever stayed in. We stayed for one night and were made to feel very welcome, rooms and the hotel in general were spotlessly clean and breakfast was very enjoyable. Would not consider staying anywhere else next time we are in the area.As mentioned in previous reviews, ample parking and within a few minutes walk of town centre.

We just spent a day and a night in Loughborough, but the town and Holywell House both deserve more. The B&B is well located just a short walk past a short row of shops into the heart of the town. Plenty of space to park a car among the Bentleys and a painless check-in process supervised by the affable Derek.

The room was large and light and the fittings of good quality, and the bathroom large enough for a game of squash - although it wiould have been handy to have had one more small table or stool in there to put towels and toiletries on.

After a quiet and comfortable night, we enjoyed an unfussy and filling cooked breakfast freshly made and promptly served by the proprietors. After a quick chat with Derek and Lez, which briefly revealed the background behind the photographic displays on the hallway walls, we were on our way, although there was no problem withus leaving the car in the car park whilst we had a final wander around town.

This is how all B&Bs should be - maximum ease, minimum fuss. I see no reason to go anywhere else in Loughborough for a warm welcome and a comfortable stay.
