Despite cancelling at 24 hours notice due to an urgent hospital appointment - I was still charged for the room. The normal policy is 48 hours, but no compassion was shown. I suggest this establishment is not rewarded with further custom

This place is full of charm! and I can think of only a single fault about this place: no plugs in the bathroom.
But otherwise:
Rooms and bathroom are very clean and spacious.
Breakfast is really good.
The owners are very kind, helpful and make you feel relaxed.
The location is good. You have to talk a little while to reach the city centre and the bus stops.
And most of all, it has a unique style and I enjoyed greatly staying in that old quirky british house.

Have stayed here on several occasions now and every time is a pleasure.
The cleanliness is superb,
Rooms are very comfortable and breakfast is amazing. There is convenient parking at the rear of the property and the owners can't do enkugh to help.
Would recommend.

Had a really lovely night's stay, comfortable bed, nice breakfast and handy for town. The two things that really stood out were the welcome I got from the house and the quality decor - I especially liked the 'picture wall' downstairs! Wouldn't stay anywhere else if I have to visit Loughborough again 😊

Excellent in every way. I only tend to write reviews for places that really impress me and Holywell House certainly qualifies. Having booked late in a town that I don't know, I was not expecting much. However, it had good reviews on Tripadvisor and turned out to be very comfortable with large tastefully decorated rooms in a converted vicarage. I chose the single room with en-suite spa bath which I can recommend if you like a relaxing soak! Holywell House has a central location with adjacent car park and easy walking distance from shops and restaurants. I was warmly greeted on arrival and provided with a delicious breakfast to send me on my way. Book early though - it seems to be quite popular.

Room tip: Some rooms have a spa bath.
