Good location, nice big room with free wifi and biscuits!! Everything in room worked, bed comfy enough, carpet a bit tired maybe due for a refurb. Restaurant seemed a bit pricey so I ate elsewhere. Continental breakfast at £7.50 also rather expensive. Good price for room.

The Link advertises itself as a "budget 3 star" hotel but that rather undersells it. I was there for a wedding and so was slightly trepidatious but this turned out to be unfounded. The food was excellent and the room was distinctly "business class". I often don't sleep well in hotels but this bed was lovely so I had no trouble there. Plenty of parking right outside the main entrance; everywhere was very accessible - no stairs.
The only thing to watch out for is that many sat navs will take you to a housing estate if you just input the postcode; stick to the main road and you'll spot it!

Thank you for taking the time to write your review, it is very much appreciated.

I was glad to read that you had an enjoyable stay with us, I hope the wedding went well, and that you enjoyed the day.

We are trying to work out the best post code to get people directly to the hotel, but this is taking a lot of trial and error at the moment, but as you mentioned if people stick to the main roads, they shouldn't ve any problems finding us.

Thank you.

Kind Regards

We stayed at this hotel on sat 26th July 2014 apsolutley lovley welcome when cheacking in, was told where are room was and it was easy to find. Was on the ground floor the rooms are spotless. The only thing I could complain abot is the headbord whitch is atched to the wall is very hard and i did bang my head on it but apart from that relly enjoyed our stay. The night porter was very friendley and was more than happy to poor us a drink even thow the cash bar had closed you can still biy drinks and iver charge them to your rooms or pay by criedit or debit card. The price of drinks very cheep for a hotel. Cheack out was brilleant as well. Im shur it was Sally who delt with us lovley lady. Overall 10 out of 10! I carnt comment on breakfast as we did not book breakfast.

Room Tip: We stayed there two years ago in 243 and this time in 143 i think all the rooms are the same all ver...

Thank you for writing your review.

I was very pleased to read that you received great service from our night porter, and the rest of the team. Customer service is very important to us at the hotel, and it is good to see that this is shown throughout the hotel.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the future.

The best thing about this place is the wifi, free and fast.
The mattresses are either worn out or just not up to the job. The prime function of a hotel is somewhere for travellers to sleep so you would expect to get a decent bed. This place has mattresses so bad you have to get out of bed to recover from the discomfort.
Clean enough, good breakfast but so it should be for £12.
The car park is big. So why are the car spaces so small? When the inevitable van parks beside you, you can't get in or out of your car. The vans are inevitable because this is a tradesman’s hotel. Breakdown vans, builders' vans, road workers' vans, painters' vans, all types of vans.
Now, tradesmen have to stay somewhere and those places should be as decent as they are for anyone. But, if you business is a tradesman’s hotel make the van spaces big enough.
Handy for the motorway and you don’t have to go into the dump that is Loughborough.

Room Tip: Ask for a mattress that is not worn out. AC units are noisy.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review.

Thank you for your comments regarding our mattresses, we are currently replacing any damaged mattresses, so I apologise that you were in a room, that had not had their mattress replaced.

Your comment regarding our car parking spaces has been noted, and will be discussed as a potential future improvement.

Thank you once again for your comments.

We stayed at The Link Hotel the last weekend in June 2014 as we were going to a Driving Experience which was less than 15 minutes away. Friendly staff. The rooms were excellent, huge comfy bed, tea and coffee making facilities and flat screen tele on the wall. Would definately recommend this hotel and would come back again.

Stayed with about 40 colleagues on business. Rooms were spacious & very clean althoughcould if done with a plug next to the bed. Above all the staff were brilliant from the smooth hassle free check in. The bbq our party had for dinner was lovely. The bar staff were incredibly patient with our noisy lot gave us plenty of notice that the cash bar was closing but reassuring us the bar was open all night. Breakfast was great such a great selection of hot and cold foods and some of the same staff that were on the bar the previous evening still smiling and chatty. Overall a great hotel with outstanding staff

I was very pleased to read that you had an enjoyable expirence with us.

It was nice to read that the food for your BBQ was nice, I must admit it look delicous and I was glad to see that the rain held of for the event. It was just a shame England could win the match.

I am very pleased to see that the staff were attentive and meet your needs.

We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

The Australian Universities team, which is endorsed by Cricket Australia and has Prime Minister Tony Abbott as its Patron, stayed at the Link for its two-day cricket match against Loughborough University.
The players had an excellent meal at the hotel the night before the match and the hotel set up some table tennis for us to play in the foyer.
We went on win the cricket match by 150 runs and found the hotel's location ideal for getting to and from the Haslegrave ground at the National Cricket Performance Centre.
