“Excellent hotel couldn't fault it”
Reviewed 20 August 2014 via mobile

Excellent hotel very clean modern rooms. But of noise from building work near by but no real problem. Food was great. Breakfast excellent. Costa Coffee machine. Ask for a takeaway cup and take a coffee with you. Great way to start the day.

Stayed August 2014, travelled on business

This Hotel has friendly staff, comfy, clean rooms. Nice bathrooms and soft towels.
Lovely breakfast at a reasonable price. Be hungry to buy the full breakfast as there is a lot. The continental breakfast was good.
Spotless, clean breakfast room with good tasty well cooked food. Eggs cooked to your preference. Lovely vegetarian Quorn sausages. My granddaughter was very happy with this.

NO CARPARK, NCP and others locally but expect to pay. Remember to budget for this. My view is the website could be clearer on this issue.

30mins free WIFI, BUT if my 3G signal had worked in the building I wouldn't have needed any. It worked 2m beyond the door........

Theres a Wetherspoons within a 100yards, far cheaper dining than in house, depends what you want, remember they do breakfasts too, and open at 8.

Remember if there is more than one of you to get more than one key card when you check in. To in and up the lift you need one, but if you leave the room with it, the lights go out. This means leaving the wife and little one in the room in the evening to fetch something from the car becomes a big issue. What a sh1t idea.

Nice enough room, air con, hot water in the taps etc.

Needed a place to stay near a relative for a family celebration. I have never used a Premier Inn before, but was recommended this one as being close by. Took a risk in booking it well in advance (so not able to change the booking) Thankfully all went to plan and the whole party were very impressed with this PremIer Inn. Only down side was there was no free parking and it took a long time and a lot of wasted water to get hot water on the 4th floor. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is in a good location for the town centre. It took us no more than 5 minutes to reach the shops and Saturday market.

The hotel was all that I would expect from Premier Inn, friendly and efficient staff on arrival, nice clean rooms, comfortable bed, and a decent bathroom with good towels. We were not disappointed. We did have breakfast and found that, although it was busy, the staff coped well and the food on offer was of a good standard. The staff were effeictive and made sure that everything was quickly taken care of.

Parking is probably the only hassle for anyone arriving by car for this hotel.. There are two options, a small pay car park just outside the hotel, or a pay multi-storey car park across the road. When we arrived (on a Saturday) we chose the small car park. It was £6 for the day but the ticket finished at midnight. Sunday parking charges started at 6am and we were told that the parking wardens would be there ready to ticket cars. As it turned out, later that night I found a small sign at the bottom of the display board that said parking on Sunday would be free. We later found out that it's probably better to park in the multi-storey and pay on the way out.

The Satruday market in the town was worth a look around and we did have a drink in the nearby Weatherspoon's pub and that was OK.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 5th floor. We didn't experience any noise.

Really impressed by the great service and helpful and friendly staff. We were staying for a friend's wedding (there was a large party of us) and they couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and relaxed. Better service than I have received in many 4* hotels.
