It was our first visit to Beacon Hill Park and we enjoyed a great walk all round the park also the native tree area, would have liked it if there had been refreshments in the park

“Great Escape”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

Short drive from town at with parking only £2.50 for all day I think its a great place to escape to and soak up the views. Lots of pathways, although some can be a little steep if you're not too firm on your feet. Good place for kids with rocks to scramble and some gorgeous alpacas and long horned cattle to see. Interestingly the place is actually an ancient volcano and the jagged peak at the top offers some amazing views across Leicestershire. Wrap up warm in winter because it can get a little blowy at the top but on a warm summers day it is a fabulous place to spend the day.

This is an amazing place, lots of trails and paths to follow, plenty of places to sit and have a picnic, you may even see some alpacas grazing!

“Cannot believe it, never been before! !!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014 via mobile

Monday 14th July visited beacon hill, I have never been before and lived in the area for 42 years and I only live 2 miles away! !!!!!!!!!!! £2.50 parking all day, two play grounds little dens everywhere as you walk up to the peak , great views. When you get back from your walk there is a picnic area just off the car park. On the whole a great day out.
