Owner description: The Climbing Station is a bouldering centre in Loughborough run for climbers, by climbers. We know what makes a great indoor-climbing experience and we put 100% into making sure that you'll have an amazing day. We have over 800sqm of bouldering surface, covering almost every angle that you can possibly think of. We also have a top rope wall that can be used by both kids and adults to learn the basics of roped climbing. As we are only a 3 minute drive from the centre of Loughborough, and less than a 10 minute drive from the M1, a large portion of our site is dedicated to secure parking. Bike racks are also available.

Great venue. lots of different angles from slabs to complete roof. Font style circuits for complete novice to technical wizard master. Nice and modern wall, bright and friendly. good bunch of staff. main attraction for me is the MASSIVE circuit boards. biggest in the country, grades from 5 to 8b, get a mega pump on, well good for training for routes indoors but are stuck for a belayer. Also hardcore Core Climbing plywood board, bit spicy for me but good for the strong boulders, plenty of small holds.

Quite a new attraction, took 14 year old daughter even though she didn't really want to go! Thought it would be something different - it was! She is hooked and has been quite a few times, by the end of the holidays she'll be like Spider-Man! She has convinced a couple of friends to go along and they have been back. A good activity and something she ordinarily would not do.

My fiancé and I had an introductory lesson here and it was brilliant! We couldn't go on their usual introductory lesson times but that wasn't a problem for them and they simply booked us in for a time that suited us. The lesson was really good teaching us all the different techniques for us to do it on our own and the value for money was great!
We had such a fun time and are now members (membership was included in the introductory lesson) and are going tomorrow to go climbing again!
Thoroughly enjoyable experience with such lovely people :)

Excellent place for bouldering. Lots of varied routes with plenty at all levels. As a novice I like the continuity of colour coding for easier routes on all wall types - other centres change the coding on differnet types of walls or adjacent slabs. Lots of space and other climbers are very helpful if you get stuck. Pleasant coffee shop and sufficient parking - Never been overwhelmed by the number of people even when very busy - some centres you have to queue to get onto routes (beaumont Leys springs to mind). Seems to be a rolling programme of changing routes so not lilely to get stale. Excellent and well thought out centre.
