I stayed at the Rose & Crown on 15th May as part of a pre-wedding day event having stayed there before in a front room overlooking the street. This time We were in room 5 which is on the first floor with stairs that went up past the room before your turned right into the corridor. The room had no sound proofing and we could hear every word people on the stairs, along the corridor and above us said. I slept well (alcohol was involved) but my partner had a very bad night with 2am revelers waking her up. Annoying the design of the room access door was such that it was really difficult to shut without a loud bang. This appeared to be a feature of other doors on this floor.

The room was reasonable but the shower was appalling. It banged when turned on (noise went away eventually) and had no power. It looked like the shower head needed cleaning or replacing.

Next morning around 9am I went for breakfast (partner went off to bride's house) and ordered full English. This arrived on a plate covered in grease with black pudding swathed in sea salt for some reason, I was not asked if I wanted coffee and had to make a point of asking for it. I was also not offered toast or sauces which again I had to specifically request

The pub is very convenient for the town but our experiece was pretty dire

Room Tip: Go for ones overlooking the street to get away from people going back to their rooms. You do not hea...

I stayed in one of their small doubles. Room was tiny but very clean, bed comfy, linen and towels nice quality. My bathroom was really large, with a big tub, and water was really hot. The place is a 17th century public house with lovely atmosphere and very nice food. Service was friendly - really nice young people work there. Beware: back bedrooms overlook beer garden and massive vent from the kitchens emits a very loud hum, which is not ideal.

I booked this as I was going to a Xmas meal across the road at gustos. Easy to park ( free own car park) clean and modern room. I booked the small double as it was just for me- reasonably priced and the room was lovely. Freshly cooked breakfast included in the morning too. Pleasantly surprised by thus hotel!

We stayed at this hotel last Saturday night. Knutsford is a very attractive small town with a thriving nightlife. The hotel itself is lovely with lots of character and an open fire. We chose to stay in a small double which was more than adequate for one night, with a large bathroom. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. There was good attention to detail. Breakfast was full English and very good. The only negative in all this is that we were woken up by the sound of planes going over every five or ten minutes at 7.00 am in the morning. Of course this has nothing to do with the hotel, but the only thing which wasn't that good. Unlike other reviews on here we didn't experience any noiseness from the hotel itself at all.

Room Tip: We were given a room on the second floor at the back. In the winter this was probably quieter than...

I stayed at the Cottons a part as a small hen party gathering on the "girls night out package". This cost £115 and included bed, breakfast, evening meal up to £36, pre drink cocktail, half bottle of wine, goodie bag & £30 voucher to spend on ESPA products on line and use of spa facilities. In my opinion this was a fantastic deal. The staff were great, the rooms were what you would expect (clean, tea/coffee etc.), the food was excellent and the spa and outdoor tub facilities were lovely too. I am going back for my Birthday in January.

Arrived at the hotel, was greeted by a very friendly member of staff who showed my boyfriend to the car park. Room was lovely & spacious. The only problem with the room was the shower, it was more of a mist but generally the room was great & an amazing location. Would defiantly stay again!
