“Clean, Functional and Great Mirror in the Bedroom”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 July 2014

We stayed here one night to attend a wedding in nearby. We were given a room which was at the front of the hotel in the older part of the building and which faced the main road. My first thought was this is going to be noisy, but I was wrong with the double glazing we weren't disturbed at all. The room was clean with a nice bathroom which had a window (not something you usually get in a hotel) and there was a great mirror in the bedroom with just the right lighting to be able to put my make up on. Perfectly acceptable hotel for one or two nights stay.

Room Tip: It is probably worth asking for a room at the back just to ensure you don't get any traffic nois...

Lovely one night stay before the airport. Got a very refreshing sleep in a very comfy bed. Was some traffic noise but it didn't disturb myself or my husband and two kids. Checked out very early so didn't have breakfast so couldn't comment on that.

I stayed one night and was given one of the 'stable' rooms. As you might guess this is in an area that used to be stables, and so is not the typical premier inn room. I guess the only slight drawback, for some, would be the short walk around the outside to get to your room. There is some road noise, to be expected in a hotel next to a busy road - it was a hot night that I stayed but I had to keep the windows shut due to the road noise.

The room I had had a large bathroom, with authentic beams, but only had a shower.

Room Tip: Ask for one furthest from the road.

Stayed here 2nd July for 1 night en route to Heysham. Greeted by very friendly lady (Michelle I think) who checked us in quickly and without fuss.
Given room 206 which was very clean and more spacious than your usual PI family room (Its an old Motel so the layout is a bit different but in a nice way)

We all had a good nights sleep which was followed by the usual high standard of breakfast that I've come to expect, still on an order basis too so it was freshly cooked and it arrived quickly so didn't really miss the convenience of buffet style.

Checked out and dealt with Michelle again who was just as friendly as on arrival.

Would definitely stay at Bucklow Hill again & happily recommend it - very convenient for M6 too.

Stayed here night before our flight at manchester airport. Arrived around 6.30pm check in was fine very fast our room was ok. Comfy bed could do with a bit of a refurb though just not the best premier inn we have stayed in. The main issue we had was that we had to check out around 5am so headed over to reception but the main door was locked. There was a sign saying to press the buzzer for someone to come during the night. We pressed several times and after 20minutes and a few other couples having the same problem we gave up and put the room key through a letterbox and left. Just wonder what happens if there was an emergency or something and you can't get a hold of anyone! Probably wouldn't stay here again there are much nicer premier inns nearby even if it is just for one night!

We spent the night in this Premier Inn after going on the Coronation Street Tour.
We were greeted by a friendly lady who checked us in quickly and offered us the opportunity to book dinner and/or breakfast in the Brewers Fayre restaurant which is next door.
We had a first floor room which overlooked a field with cows in, the room was spotless and spacious, as was the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable with a choice of soft or firm pillows. There were also menus for the Brewers Fayre so you had the opportunity to see what was on offer. We had a good peaceful nights sleep, check out was done with a smile and an enquiry as to whether everything had been satifactory. If every Premier Inn is like this one, we'll definitely be using them again in the future.
