“Another wonderful holiday at the Bread Oven, Gigan”
Reviewed 9 September 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Our second visit to this lovely location and equally impressed this time round. A fabulous welcome from Prue and Andrew, and delicious first night home cooked meal helped ease us into the holiday. The Bread Oven oozes character while being equipped with everything you could need travelling with young children. It really is a home from home. Mornings spent exploring local towns and markets and every afternoon spent in the fab pool. We hope to return and while we would like to keep it a secret we will be recommending to friends and family!

“5 star Family Holiday”
Reviewed 8 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Having stayed at the bread oven for our summer we can recommend this splendid holiday home to anyone. It literally is a home from home and couldnt have been made to feel more welcome. The facilities have been really thought about from the provision of everything you would possibly need and then some; even a full picnic basket for the night markets, childrens snorkals, pool toys, badmington and the lovely named sock monkeys to greet the children. It is very hard to pick out anything specific because the whole experience was wonderful! Thank you for such a splendid holiday!

“WOW We loved the Bread Oven, was perfect.”
Reviewed 24 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We had a fab week at The Bread Oven, it is even better than advertised. The house is gorgeous, beautiful inside and out, the beds super comfy, lovely bedding, big sofas, kitchen kitted out beyond what one would expect, games for kids and adults, big soft towels for pool and showers. Outside there was so much to do; pick fruit, swimming, all sorts of sports, walks to the windmill, cycling (loads of bikes to choose from), the kiddy play area with swings, slides and play house. Lovely hosts, who are close yet leave you to it as required. People in the big house opposite were lovely, had kids that our son played with, yet if you wanted privacy it's no problem either. Welcome hamper was so tasty, even homemade lemonade, the vanilla sponge too was yum. Also we were a few hours early which did not phase Prue and Andrew at all, they were happy to welcome us. And not forgetting Giggles, the beautiful monkey (stuffed) that was waiting for our son on arrival! FANTASTIC PLACE, STUNNING, LOVED OUR HOLIDAY AND WANT TO GO BACK SOON!

“An amazing retreat to a little paradise”
Reviewed 23 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

The websites listing this holiday rental provide extensive details to give you a clear and true idea of the facilities etc, which are no less than fab. Lovely hosts, all the home comforts you need, wonderful welcome basket and two beautiful, sympathetically converted holiday homes that are stylish and comfortable, all in a peaceful setting with lovely grounds and of course great pool. I would recommend this little paradise to anyone of any age knowing they would enjoy it.

“Lovely property, beautiful surroundings and very warm welcome”
Reviewed 17 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

We had a wonderful holiday here - the owners are extremely friendly and helpful, whilst maintaining distance so you have your privacy. The property is lovely, and surrounded by beautiful gardens with a number of secluded areas for guests. You are also encouraged to help yourself to vegetables from the garden, which we really enjoyed doing. There are plenty of markets close by and the owners include details of these each day on a blackboard outside the property. The heated outdoor pool was great and even hot enough for our 4 month old baby to enjoy. Would thoroughly recommend it for a relaxed holiday, where you can sample great local produce in beautiful surroundings.

“Can't believe we were lucky enough to discover this perfect house set in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed 6 September 2012 for a stay in August 2012

Our warm and friendly welcome from the owners Prue and Andrew pretty much set the tone of our holiday at Gigan, we had a fantastic time. The house was very well appointed, a basket full of homemade goodies and fresh flowers awaited us when we arrived and our 4 year old was in heaven to find he had been supplied with knights, a castle and a den building kit. The knowledge Prue and Andrew have of the surrounding area meant that we really did get the most out of stay. The setting is beautiful, looking over the sunflower field up to the old windmill was the perfect place to read a book, although our daughters preferred to go down to the hammocks next to the playhouse to read after a busy afternoon swimming in the pool. We really liked 'foraging' in the veg patch for fresh veg for our supper too. Everything has been really well thought through to make your stay a perfect one. We would definitely recommend this property.

“Wonderful, beautiful, peaceful stay”
Reviewed 21 August 2012 for a stay in August 2012

We have just returned from The Bread Oven at Gigan for the second year running and have just booked for next year already!

The property, gardens and pool are all of the highest quality. The Bread Oven is superbly equipped and leaves you wanting for nothing, from the moment you arrive and find a lovely hamper waiting.

The owners, Prue and Andrew are on hand to go the extra mile in every respect.

The pool is a joy, as are the gardens which give something for everyone, from the youngest of children to the more mature alike!

We would highly recommend this property to anyone.
