Very central location in Lerwick. Very well appointed guest house with every facilty available (en suite shower, hairdrier, shower gel, shampoo, TV with Freeview, tea and coffee making facilities, free and strong wifi).

Delicious breakfasts with fresh fruit salad, full Scottish, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon etc.

Very helpful hosts. Spotlessly clean. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Have just left the wonderful establishment managed by Lynne and Jim. This was a 'return' visit and we couldn't wait to experience the fabulous hospitality given by our hosts again. As ever, beautifully appointed rooms and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Both Lynne and Jim give suggestions for excursions should they be needed which will ensure that visitors will find all the delights that the islands have to offer. Do go and try it, you'll be so pleased you did!

A very comfortable B&B with welcoming and helpful hosts.A varied breakfast menu from which to choose and all deliciously cooked.
And as previously mentioned, an excellent fish and chip shop nearby and very good value too.

Fort Charlotte Guest House is a little gem - very clean, lovely rooms, good generous breakfast served by the owners, who are very friendly. The guest house is very central and close to Jim's Fish and chip shop, which is the best in town(Jim is the owner of the guest house)
I would highly recommend this B & B it is better than an hotel

I had a lovely stay at the Fort Charlotte Guest House, which I found through Trip Advisor. I visited Shetland for just a few days but it will remain one of the top memories of my recent trip to the highlands and isles, and that's mostly because of the friendly B&B hosts, Lynne and Jim. They are delightful, and nothing is too much trouble. The pictures other travellers have posted here don't do the place full justice: the rooms are spotless and homely, as well as tastefully decorated. The cooked breakfasts are marvellous: I recommend Lynne's lovely traditional porridge if you're a fan, although the eggs and salmon were marvellous too. Thank you so much to my hosts for providing such a lovely stay for this jetlagged visitor. I hope very much to return in the future.
