My wife and I went for a meal here for the first time. The setting is beautiful, the service was excellent and the food and atmosphere just brilliant. We are local and can't believe I have only just discovered this gem.

We visited the Grouse and Claret in October 2013 and were warmly welcomed. Had drinks and canapes prior to going in to the dining area. Very cosy and excellent service. The meal was excellent. I would recommend booking in advance.

Took some friends out for dinner as a thank you and had already been for a nosey to check the place out, liked what I saw.
Everything was fantastic. You are surrounded by fishing ponds, its like you are in the middle of nowhere instead of 2 minutes from the M90.
Ambiance was very chilled, loved the decor and the relaxing couches for pre dinner drinks and nibbles.
The food was excellent, I had the chicken pate, very creamy, followed by the duck, again delicious even managed a dessert, I opted for the chocolate roulade, really intense, finished the meal beautifully.
Service was some of the best I have had, staff were quite young but very well trained and friendly but professional.
Worked out at just under £30 per head, the quality of the food made it really good value for money. Will be back to try out the lunch menu.
