“Great family campsite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2014

We stayed here for one night to visit nearby Corfe Castle. It was a last minute booking during peak season and they were still able to accommodate us. We stayed in what they called the overflow field across the road from the main site. To be honest, that was preferable to us as it was much quieter and with small children that was great as they weren't disturbed during the night (and we didn't disturb anyone first thing in the morning).

There were ample facilities from what I saw - although we didn't use them as we were only there for a week. From what I could tell the showers, toilets, etc. were clean and well maintained.

The campsite is probably within walking distance of Corfe Castle, but our children are all under 5 so didn't attempt it. I understand it's quite hilly, but offers great views of the surrounding areas.

We're thinking of visiting Dorset for a longer holiday next year. I'll definitely consider this place.

Room Tip: Request the overflow field if you want to a secluded stay away from everyone else.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at East Creech Farm. The owners were very friendly and helpful. As we had never been before they advised us which of the remaining pitches would suit our family best and so glad we went with their recommendation.
You can really see that this family work hard to keep this place clean and tidy. They were regularly cutting the grass, emptying the huge bin, and the toilets and showers although not spotless, were as clean as you could expect for a busy week in august, and clean enough for us.
The showers are by tokens, and the lady told us about the family shower which lasted plenty long enough for us.
The only thing that was disappointing for us was the noise from older children running through the woods all evening, which meant lots of late nights for our little ones, but I do understand this is all part of camping in the summer holidays.
We did however appreciate that the whole site went completely quiet just after 10.

We were recommended this site by a friend, and rang up last minute to see if there was room for the weekend. We were told there was as long as we didn't mind staying in the overflow field just over the road from the campsite, and it was lovely. In fact i preferred it to being right in the middle of the big field and away from the play area. It was still only a 5 min walk up the lane to the showers and toilets so no problem at all. These were kept very clean by the owners, who were very friendly and helpful. Apart from a torrential downpour Saturday morning, we had a lovely sunny weekend, going for a couple of walks nearby - one to Church Knowle (up a very steep path to the top of the hill the attached photo was taken from) which we timed just right for a cream tea at the village fete. We took the steam train to Swanage and on the way home visited Tyneham village. I too would recommend this site, and look forward to hopefully visiting again, if not this year then definitely next.

Our first time at this campsite and we have already booked to go back. Spacious pitches, lovely owners, great play area and lots of showers and loos. We walked to Corfe (the hilly route there, phew and the flat route back) and both were fab. It was a lovely day out as we stopped for lunch and a wander round. The kids loved it here, made loads of friends and the bonus was the woods were they all could roam and have lots of fun.

Room Tip: We were next to the shower block and play area, great except for the noise from the people choosing...

We stay at the campsite every year and can't wait to return. The site is well laid out and the facilities are very clean. The lovely family that run it are very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The site is nestled in the Purbecks with lovely views and is so peaceful. highly recommended. Janice & Dave

We have just got back from a long weekend camping here with friends and what a great time we had. The owners of the farm were lovely and very helpful. The campsite was at a beautiful location with great views. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The family shower rooms were great, especially as we have two young children. The farm had plenty for the children - space, animals, park and fields to explore.
The price was also very good.
We will definitely return.

Really peaceful setting with lovely views. Very child friendly set up with the play area near the campsite and the farm animals. The cottage itself is spacious, spotlessly clean and well kitted out with a power shower, washing machine, and dishwasher. The location is excellent for exploring Purbeck. The family who run this place were very welcoming and friendly. It's really good value compared to B&Bs or hotels in Swanage or Wareham. Would recommend this to anyone and would stay here again if I ever come back this way.
