We stayed overnight at Cockle Warren thanks to all the great reports on Trip Advisor. On arrival there was plenty of parking and we were welcomed warmly by Kate who made us tea. Kate is extremely helpful in that she had arranged for a taxi to take us out to our engagement and to bring us back in the early hours. Nothing is too much trouble, rather different to some places we've stayed in the past.
We had a lovely large comfortable room in the annexe with everything one needs including tea and coffee, hairdrier, ironging board and a fresh orchid! The bed was very comfortable, with cotton covers and bedside tables. The bathroom has a really pleasing seaside decor with a sensible bath and nice fresh-looking, appealing towels. We were able to regulate the heating which was appreciated as it was a cold rainy evening.
There is a lovely outdoor pool in a walled area which due to the time of year was covered but I could imagine in the summer it would be a real suntrap. The garden was lovely with an enchanting fish pond with masses of little fish who come to the surface to welcome you.
Breakfast was fabulous. Juices, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, plus a full english breakfast which was cooked to perfection. All this was followed by toast and preserves and as much tea or coffee as you could drink.
We really enjoyed our stay even though it was winter and the weather was dismal. Would we return? You bet we would! (But I'd like a swim next time).

We loved our stay here and will definitely stay again. Cockle Warren is brilliantly situated opposite the beach - so you can wake up to a sea view, followed up by a bracing walk with a great view along the beach!! Kate is a great host and Cockle Warren feels very welcoming the moment you come through the door. The breakfast is tasty and prepared to order, with fresh fruit salad on offer, and a cooked breakfast - Kate is happy to help if you have special dietary requirements, she even produced rice cakes as one of us can't eat wheat, as well as veggie sausages. With arrangement we arrived later than normal booking in time , but Kate was happy to work around this, with no fuss at all. The property has its own mini free car park. We can't recommend this B&B too highly. Value for money and great service in a fun location. Combine a stay at Cockle Warren with great Fish and chips from Elliott's restaurant just down from this B&B. We aim to go back for another weekend as we want to try out the swimming pool! Very restful and worth every penny.

My sister-in-law rented this B&B for us telling us it was better than any hotel on the island. She was right. Kate is warm and friendly, the rooms are clean and each is individually decorated. The beach is literally a stone's throw away, and the view from the front bedroom is beautiful. The breakfast is delicious and the pool was a hidden gem. The only (very minor) downside was that the shower in our room was rubbish, and some don't have a shower, only a bath. I would definitely recommend Cockle Warren.

Spent May bank holiday weekend with Kate at the Cockle Warren. She must be the most welcoming person ever. Nothing is too much trouble! She is also a mine of information about local activities and buses and trains etc. Rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable and warm when the evening got chilly. Would highly recommend the Olive Leaf (virtually next door!) for friendly service and good, reasonably-priced food. The Yew Tree (about 5 mins away by car) although in need of a spruce up, did an exceptional sunday roast. We have booked again for September cos thats the earliest we can get back!! Will def recommend to all friends and family!!

We have stayed at Cockle warren twice, for three days each time, with our 3 year old Lab. The sea is literally just across the road, there are walks galore including lots you can ride you rbike on with your dog along, and two pubs on the doorstep that will let you bring your dog into the pub for food.
The rooms are immaculately clean - you would never know it welcomes dogs - and roomy.
Kate is so welcoming and she is friendly without being intrusive, and she simply can't do enough for you -
We can't wit to go back

Our room was warm, comfortable, clean and a very good size. We had struggled to find a hotel that could accomodate two adults, a child and a dog, but Cockle Warren did it well.

Breakfast was great, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, full english, fab coffee and endless toast!

Well done Cockle Warren!
