Very friendly and welcoming staff, good bar food, well priced. Lovely breakfast. Room lovely and ample sized for three, although fronting on busy road with window open. Perhaps a hairdryer in the room would be nice and some shampoo in bathroom. Would return.

I stayed with my toddler for one night here and was very pleased I did. The rooms are large, spotlessly clean and staff are super friendly. I ate dinner in the bar garden area which is a lovely setting. The food was good but the serving size of the madras curry was very small for the price paid (about the size of one of those curry/rice TV dinners you buy in supermarkets) and had more bell peppers than chicken. I didn't bother eating breakfast the next day due to this and went elsewhere instead.
If I returned to Hayling Island again I would, happily stay here again. A special thanks to Carol who checked us in, what a lovely lady!

This hotel is more attractive at close hand than its photographs suggest - the grounds are carefully cared for and parking is ample and tidily arranged. The very active wedding business is well separated from the bedrooms and is not intrusive. Sunday carvery lunch had good quality ingredients and cheerful service. First floor bedroom users need to know that some are accessed via a single short steep staircase with narrow treads - not something for those with a disability. Rooms themselves have been decorated and furnished in stylish quality - bathrooms in particular have smart fittings. Sadly, poor quality fibre filled pillows are provided and there is no in room information for guests - discovering breakfast times requires a conversation with reception. Also, beware that room only web bookings are charged an extra £10 for breakfast which does make the overall rates seem high. But the general cleanliness and stylish environment, coupled with friendly staff, make this a place to return to.

Room Tip: Be aware that some rooms are compact - some are in the traditional part of the listed building.

We had a carvery lunch and birthday party for 16 in mid July and everybody agreed that the food was very good and at a very reasonable price. Also two of us stayed the night and enjoyed the comfort of a lovely, well equipped room. The breakfast on the next morning was excellent. To sum up, the accommodation, food and service were all of a high standard and great value for money. Thank you..

Room Tip: They all seem well situated and heard no complaints from other guests.

Two night break taken here last minute after calling in. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, rooms are beautifully appointed, extremely clean and recently refurbished. Both breakfast and bar food was fabulous. Ample parking, fabulous garden, cosy bar and lounge. Would definitely recommend and hope to return when in the area again.
