“SIMPLE AND VERY BASIC”
Reviewed 9 April 2012

Been looking forward to trying this new cafe out..
Have to say not sure what all the hype is about. Took two friends from work, for working lunch.
Could not find anywhere to park, so used public car park 200 m away.
Nice short walk, not a problem.
We all had soup and roll. again nosthing special, could of been tinned.
coffee was cool by the time it was brought out!
One friend thought that QA cafe have more style and warmth, all very plain and boreing. The smell of the farm over took any smell from the food.
The veiw of meadow was spoilt by cars and 4 x 4s park in it.
All in all it was like lunch in a carpark!
The staff were busy. but very nice. found the time to come and ask if all was good.
We felt sorry for them So said all is ok.
Brought icecream to take out, found it to have to much ice lumps to get the favour.
don,t think we shall go back again. not when you can have better at the Ship/Royal Oak

“A meal with a view”
Reviewed 2 January 2012

I've enjoyed an excellent meal in the warm and comfortable surroundings of Northney tea rooms looking out over the green fields with views of the South downs in the distance. Cheerful service and delicious food.

“Excellent quality locally sourced food, very nice location and building.”
Reviewed 17 December 2011

Extremely generous portions, particularly as we thought the pricing was very fair. Our table was wiped down straight away, and everything in the cafe is nice and clean and new, which is a real plus point. In fact everything looked spotless to us. Another good point is that all the tables are a good size and spaced a reasonable distance apart so you are not hemmed in, as you are in a lot of cafes. Would recommend.

“Underwhelming, 'nice' but really missing a trick.”
Reviewed 4 October 2011

This is a recent start up business and could flourish, I wish it well, however they are far from realising their potential. The tea roooms are well located, car parking is however very limited. We sat outside on a recent lunch visit, certain items had run out, dirty tables were uncleared for a long time, the few staff were not 'servicing' customers and the atmosphere inside was nil. There was a cash only system. But is is early days.
Plus points are locally sourced food and what we had was tasty.
