Just finished a 3 night break and it was lovely. We gave stayed at parkdean before and have paid £800 before now but thought we'd try a sun holiday. It was no different!!! Kids lived Sid and lizzie and the act 2 fat 4 that were the best act my husbands ever seen. The swimming pool is deep and no shallow end so my 6yr old had to use a swim ring. The play area was a bonus and all round we had a fun time. Would come again!

Went as a family group with three caravans between us my sister & i having a two bed caravan between us, quite clean, tho dust in corners, fairly well equiped with cutlery & china, heating in both bedrooms, tho rooms were very small , heater in lounge area didnt work, main gripe was the boiler, pilot light kept going out so no hot water for shower was hit or miss if we got it to go or not , if we did one of us would shower leave water running because if you turned it off the pilot light went out & was hard to relight, so one would shower , dry ourselves, dressing gown on & next one in , only when both of us had finished did we turnit off, did report it & a man was sent to look at it , very patronising, told us 'it was the wind' that caused it to go out as there was NO wind at the time it wasnt that ! Toilet roll & dish cloth supplied & beds made up on on arrival, caravan number is X7 , good distance from club house but not to far , no noise , quiet site.
Do NOT eat in 'Bistro' awful food , cold hard chips, disgusting foul tasting cold carrots , cold peas chicken cooked but with pale soggy skin, sister had ham , egg & chips , eggs were rock hard , chips cold & hard ham was floating in either water or fat , disgusting! did complain & to their credit did give us a refund & a free drink , so cant complain at that,a member of staff did say that they wouldnt eat it either , so that speaks for its self , on the other hand the take-a-way is fairly good nice chessy chips & a decent burger with nice friendly staff serving , bar prices a bit high, i have paid less in a hotel. bar staff didnt seem to know what they were doing charged different prices for same round every time i went to bar ! Entertainment not very good did have one good singer but he has left to go to a bigger camp in Devon, but the others were two silly girls messing around supposedly 'singing' & a couple of young men also ;singing' . On the whole camp is ok for a weekend away but wouldnt want to stay any longer .

We booked "The Sun" deal for a four night stay so wasn't really expecting much, but to our surprise the camp site and caravan where both much more than anticipated!
Our caravan, although the cheapest 8 berth, was very clean and roomy especially as we did have 8 sleeping in it! The camp site although small was adequate. A shop, restaurant which looked nice although we never ate there, and The Reef Bar. So far so good, now onto the evening entertainment...what a let down. We were "entertained" each night by four "Trooper's". Two guys called Tommy and Chris, and two girls. Chris, and a girl who sung on Monday night, and did have a half decent voice, were really sarcastic. Chris announced things on the microphone which were incoherent, and when we told him this his answer was "he didn't care"! I think they both felt like they were too good for the place (if only)!!! The "adult" game Blankety Blank which we had the misfortune of sitting through and also hosted by these two, was degrading and should have been part of the children's entertainment, I felt for the four people dragged from the audience to participate. The only ray of light on our four night stay was the live entertainment duo "Ignite" who were funny, talented and a breath of fresh air. It's a shame, because had the evening entertainment been better I would have rated this a four star park. Also take caution using the ladies toilets in the evening, they are smelly and dirty!
Hayling Island itself is very pretty with some good pubs. We enjoyed the Ferryboat Inn, and The Ship Inn, which is just across the bridge in Langstone and did excellent food. And of course the historic delights of Portsmouth! Overall our stay was good fun, just get out of the clubhouse after bingo unless you want to be mind numbingly bored, and insulted!!

Having paid near £500 I would expect as a minimum a clean van. We requested a pet free van on booking - what we get on arrival is a can that stinks of dogs, full of dog hair and generally dirty. On complaint the park is full but they'll send the cleaners around. We're given a £10 voucher whilst the van I recleaned. Decide to try the bistro / restaurant. Food served looked NOTHING like the food in the pictures and it all been in the deep fat frier. Return to van to find it has been hoovered this time and a strong air freshened squirted about. A few hours later the dog smell had returned.

First few hour here and we've already decided we're not comin back here again.

OK. We may be unlucky, but it's always good to hear good and bad reviews - sorry, this one a bad one.

What can I say AMAZING! !!!!
I have been to butlins and pontins with the family before but this place is by far the best. Where to start. The caravans are clean spacious and we'll equipped. The site is clean the staff are the most friendly I've encountered and go out of the way to help you. Special mention to the entertainments team who tirelessly entertained both children and adults from morning to night. The structure of the entertainment the originality and the personal touches are far better than any other holiday park I've been too. The kids 7 years old and 11 months. Have some very special and magical memories and I would like to thank the whole team for this unforgettable holiday.
The price even in our upgraded caravans was a fraction of the price of butlins and this place has been so much better. I truly cannot think of anything negative to say. Just do it you're kids will adore it.
