Very good quality path with plenty of room for walkers, cyclists and horses. We walked from the South-East corner of the island along the beach, then up the trail to the Ship Inn on the Havant side of the bridge and back so we did about 20km in all. The part along the trail was lovely, with great views across the water to Portsmouth and the Spinacre Tower, and lots of butterflies and birds. There are a few benches dotted around, but it would be nicer if there were a few more, and if some could be in the shade.
It's well worth crossing the bridge at the northern end of the trail to visit the Ship Inn for refreshment before returning to the Island
